@DinosParkos@iconredesign Assuming Apple calibrated the display with the matte taken into consideration, it should be under normal lighting still color accurate.
(Color accurate ≠ high color volume)
@imi_tramps@LLMJunky@Javi I guess one could get lucky or just not fold the screen a lot so it doesn’t cause the crease becoming more noticeable over time (or getting other imperfections), but it’s rare.
@imi_tramps@LLMJunky@Javi I don’t know how much I believe you on this, my friend’s got a Fold 6 and it already had a fairly visible crease straight out of the packaging. The phone was refurbished, but still only 2 years old and wasn’t used much by the previous owner.
Ever since Spotify started to run on my Windows PC’s background even though all start up activity should be disabled, I’ve just uninstalled the app from all PCs and removed it from the dock of my Mac. I’ll probably cancel my sub soon as well.
@horsemankukka@ishaansangha@LLMJunky@Javi well yeah but also many people just simply do not carry iPads around lmfao
And I mean, if you’ve got a solid use for it and are acustom to always unfolding to use it, you’ll then of course be unfolding it a lot. But that’s just a really small portion of users.
On one hand, I really do not trust the iPhone Duo’s camera and durability to meet my phone needs. But also on the other hand, I’ve always found my phone screen size to be so limiting because I’ve got small hands and have to use a smaller phone + multitasking on standard iOS sucks
@horsemankukka@ishaansangha@LLMJunky@Javi Yeah the issue also with the Duo is that the multitasking seems limited for some reason. Like, you can’t split screen apps in different aspect ratios, it’s seemingly always 50/50. But iPads were able to change their split screen ratios for the apps already in like, 2016
@NonyboyO3@msnofficial_on (Althrough that being said, Apple’s whole thing for the blackbars is that they want developers to actually properly optimize their apps for the Duo, and not just extend the app, ”ruining” the intended behaviour of the buttons being on the right)
@NonyboyO3@msnofficial_on I think some apps still do? Especially on the Fold 8, some reviewers have said the outer display is too small and also square which causes issues with typing issues on some apps because the keyboard + typing field can take more than half of the display.
@NonyboyO3@msnofficial_on (to be clear though, I’m not necessarily defending that the iPhone Duo here would somehow have more screen realestate or whatever, the biggest benefit to a taller aspect ratio is just in apps that require you to scroll like social media or a website.
@NonyboyO3@msnofficial_on Yes and? Not only is that still an app that hasn’t been unoptimized for Duo (which is Google’s fault not Apple’s mind you), the difference between how much is shown isn’t that striking.
@Nanartje@msnofficial_on At 5 seconds on they show another website, where you can also see the difference, without the ad.
It’s just simply how most web design works, thinner aspect ratio will give you more vertical space, usually by sacrificing the size of the content itself tho ofc.
