Closest point of 12 August 2026 total #SolarEclipse path to Earth's North Magnetic Pole occurs in Arctic Ocean north of Siberia, path of totality reaching 89°N latitude around 17:00 UTC. This may trigger a major global magnetic field variation spike within a window of minutes.

@NASA Looking at the open source trajectory animations, I hope they have sufficient power to push them back towards Earth after reaching the farthest point beyond Moon, and that they are not swung away from planned trajectory due to “their then reverse motion direction wrt to Moon’s”
