@asdfgts1@ImNotOwned I’m not saying it’s likely to succeed, but it is a massive pending headache that risks flaring partisan tensions even more dramatically than they already are
@asdfgts1@ImNotOwned Trump/Johnson declare that mail in ballots that arrive after Election Day are invalid (something they have already said they will do), they would then try to have their preferred winners sworn in and/or refuse to swear in the Dems, and hoping that SCOTUS would go along with it
@CaralhoPhilly@bigtatorlover@joewrote Is it a better system than we have now? For sure. But that requires a constant funding stream from the government, which as places like the UK have shown, is far from a guarantee.
@CaralhoPhilly@bigtatorlover@joewrote I’m just saying that the government taking over the healthcare system isn’t a magic cure to all the ills of the healthcare system.
@bigtatorlover@joewrote@CaralhoPhilly If a healthcare system is too reliant on funding from the government, then that healthcare system collapses whenever that government has a fiscal crisis (see the NHS)
@Birdyword It’s an expensive state and a politicians (legal) pay is relatively low. Anyone who has more than half a brain cell or isn’t a complete psychopath does literally anything else.
@benjamindonks@honigmaydl Far right parties are on the verge of electoral victory across the west. How about you stop jerking yourself off to the mess America has become and start worrying about your country being next!
