@AskPTSB Business24 seems to be down at the moment. No note on the site or socials about it. No scope to talk to a person just self service options... #customerservicefail
@obrienmark@AbbeyTheatre Very sad to hear that. Worked with him on & off from 05 as part of the development of the leadership team. An absolute gentleman who played his part in the development of the organisation & talent. Both warm & reserved, always wanted the highest standards to make it to stage.
@lea_ypi@guardian Interesting article. The new PM puts me in mind of this quote…
“Greatness is not manifested by unlimited pragmatism, which places such a high premium on the end justifying any means and any methods.”

@davidmcw@littlemuseumdub It’s a no brainer. It would cost initially but repay multiple times. Can’t understand why state and DCC don’t make this municipal bet. “Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only because, and only when, they are created by everybody.”

@NesrineMalik His answer is like a verbal version of the Twister Board game. His own personal attribution theory for a crime based on small items of publicly available information…
@axisBallymun The very best wishes to Niamh. Her commitment to Axis, its mission and the development of artists and the supporting ecosystem has been enormous. A real legacy .
Enter then forget. Keep entering. Part of great advice from @BernardineEvari for writers in this case but also aplicable to other creative pursuits. “You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.” Wayne Gretzky #quotes
Some people will talk themselves out of ever sharing their writing with anybody (and we know where this doesn't lead), let alone entering it for a prize; while others will just go for it. I've taught hundreds of students who have short stories hidden on their hard drives. My advice about sending out to competitions is to do so -- and then forget about it. The chances of being nominated or even winning are slight, but at least you've given it a shot. And you keep giving it a shot - submitting, writing, developing your skills and projects - because you are investing in your creativity and future. We have a choice between doing and not doing. One is fuelled by determination and ambition, the other by fear of failure and lack of confidence - instead of choosing to break free. @RSLiterature #WritingCommunity
Brett Kavanaugh was nominated to the Supreme Court one year ago today. Here’s a question I’m still thinking about from his confirmation hearing: Can you think of any laws that give the government the power to make decisions about the male body?
Yep. People can listen for themselves and draw their own conclusions.
But folks need to hear the truth about aspects of this convo that are not being adequately addressed when the stakes are so high. First ballots go out in ~8-9 weeks.

@DonnchaLaw "A government with a permanent deficit and a bloated military. A bogus ideology pushed by elites. Poor health among ordinary people. Senescent leaders. Sound familiar?" @nfergus https://t.co/6uebja55aJ
@davidmcw Really disturbing and unsettling. At system level, highlights lack of formal recognition of well established sentencing principles in Irish legislation. @IrishLawReform examined this in 2020 report. Flagged here: https://t.co/BPZ0ygPy1x
'In carving out space for a plurality of identities, the Performing Arts can act as an antidote to [such] regressive nationalism.'
I wrote a thing and you can read it below!
Thanks @ciangobrien and @PAFIreland for commissioning me. I'm also (still) available for parties folks.
