13 Sep 26, Tollen Kangpokpi:
Even a 5-year-old boy was reportedly not spared in the predawn attack at Tollen village, Kangpokpi District Manipur. The innocent child was shot in the arm and back, with a bullet reportedly still lodged in his tiny body. His mother, Lhingzangai, was killed, while his father was also Critically injured.
โThe NSCN-IM deliberately targeted Women, & Non-Combatants. They showed no regard for children too. They simply broke into homes and killed anyone on sight.โ
The world must not remain silent. They were non-combatantsโinnocent civilians, including a five-year-old child. Attacking families in their homes and targeting women and children must be condemned in the strongest possible terms.
We call upon India, the international community, human-rights organisations, and all advocates of peace to condemn such violence at the highest level and demand accountability for those responsible.
Civilians are not targets. Children are not combatants. Innocent lives must be protected.

Kangpokpi, Manipur | September 13, 2026:
A woman was reportedly killed and two members of her family injured after an attack by NSCN-IM cadres at Tollen village in Kangpokpi district, Manipur, in the early hours of Sunday.
According to information provided by local sources, the incident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. on September 13. The deceased has been identified as Lhingzangai Singsit, wife of Pu Seineh. Her husband and son were also reportedly injured in the attack.
The incident has triggered renewed concerns over the security of civilians in vulnerable areas of Manipur. Local accounts have condemned the alleged attack as an act of violence against an innocent family and questioned the continued presence of armed groups in civilian areas.
The incident also raises questions about the commitment of armed organisations to peace and civilian protection amid ongoing efforts toward a lasting political settlement in the region.
This happened when Kuki communities across the globe are observing Kuki Black Day in remembrance of more than 1,000 Kukis reportedly killed during violence involving NSCN-IM in the 1990s.

Facebook Page Under Fire for False Report on Killing of Pastors in Manipur
Imphal, 13 May 2026: โ The Chronicle of Nagas is facing strong condemnation for circulating false information about the killing of three church leaders in Manipur on 13 May.
In a post published, the page claimed the pastors were ambushed by โKuki militantsโ while โen route to meeting with Chief Minister of Manipurโ to discuss an official visit to Churachandpur.
That account contradicts publicly available statements indicating the leaders were attacked while returning home to Kangpokpi after attending a church assembly in Churachandpur on 12 May. The deceased were identified as three senior pastors, with five others reported injured.
The post has been denounced as fake news that distorts the facts of a tragedy and risks inflaming communal tensions in the state. There have been calls for The Chronicle of Nagas to immediately delete the post and issue a public correction.
Spreading unverified claims during an active crisis dishonors the victims and endangers efforts to maintain peace.

Christian markings were clearly visible on the vehicles. Yet NSCN-IMโs ZUF-Kamson & Meitei VBIGs still ambushed the convoy of reverends & pastors returning from CCPur, killing four reverends. This shows the extreme persecution faced by the Kuki people. ๐๐๐ฝ @Oikoumene@Pontifex
Videos from the ambush site on the Kangpokpi Hill Road (GT Road). What is surprising is that there is an Assam Rifles camp nearby, yet the ambush still took place. Almost all passengers are reported dead, including four Thadou Baptist Pastors of Thadou Baptist Association.

Church Pastors ambushed this morning, 3 confirmed dead.
Such heinous crime is totally uncalled for.
Spare the innocents, especially those without arms.
Thoughts and prayers ๐
When you ambushed a Reverend, a servant of God, what do you think will result in?
Kamson Group aligned with IM and VBIGs are allegedly behind this.
Just shameful. How sissy you have to be to ambush pastors whose only weapon is the Bible?
