PIRATES IN THE PROS: The Washington Wild Things baseball team, which play in the Frontier League, signed former ECU Baseball outfielder Jeff Sabater to the active roster in advance of Tuesday’s game. He played this past season at ECU and was part of the Chapel Hill All-Region team. Sabater got off to a quick start with his first pro hit against the Windy City ThunderBolts in an 8-3 series-opening win. Sabater finished 1-for-4 with two runs playing in left field.

In 2027… we have to make it a priority to get butts in seats in the grandstand.

For far too long, we have a thousand people out in the jungle… that would rather be in the grandstands (but can’t because we have “sold out” the tickets).

Clark-LeClair is a special place when packed around the grandstands… from the field… it feels like the crowd is right on top of you!

Help us bring back the home field advantage!
