5️⃣ & 0️⃣‼️ What a great feeling! Some thoughts on today:
🏈 @K1 continues to progress 📈
🏈 @Showtyme_33 is a damn WARRIOR! Having 100+ yards rushing & another great day despite the unfortunate fumble.
🏈 This very well might be the BEST @Vikings defense I’ve ever seen 👀. They are very complete from top to bottom, with smart 🧠 defenders EVERYWHERE.
🏈 Say what you want about @byronmurphy…if the ball is thrown anywhere near him, he catches it! ✌️ INT’s today! ✋🏈🤚
🏈 @WillReichard…do I really need to say anything besides…BEST KICKER IN THE NFL! 🐐
🏈 @GavinBartholom6 Have a day, young man! W/@TheeHOCK8 unfortunately having a concussion on his 1st play, Gavin came in & showed his 🏈 catching capabilities. 📈
🏈 KOC is putting things together, getting K1 comfortable in his offense. He highlighted ✈️ as primary while also staying true to 3️⃣ 3️⃣ as the workhorse. A couple hiccups (near INT thrown by ✈️ on trick play & still needs work on 3rd & short play calling) but overall a good day for our HC.
🏈 A win is a WIN! 5️⃣ - 0️⃣

Bustin’ this bad boy out for today’s game, my Nike Elite “WhiteOut” Justin Jefferson @Vikings jersey. I have a feeling it’s going to be the @JJettas2 ✈️ show today in NOLA, his hometown! He hasn’t played here since the COVID season when there were no fans present.
This will not be an easy task, however! The NO offense is better than advertised, featuring Chris Olave, Tyler Shough & their uptempo offense. Their defense has many holes due to injury but our offense has not been in sync to start this season. They are playing at home, in a place where we as Vikes fans have some bad memories. There will be no excuses, however! We expect to win a very winnable game. Let’s keep up this win-streak! 5️⃣-0️⃣‼️LFG‼️

Today is a 👌 opportunity for @KevOC7 to prove that his team can play any style of offensive 🏈. Last 2️⃣ weeks, the @Vikings relied on the 🏃 game. W/@Showtyme_33 banged up but still active, KOC will be able to use the guise of the run while trying to air it out w/@K1. #SKOL😈💜
On this Purple Friday, I’d like to wish nothing but the best for our QB1, @K1! If we are to get the win against our old NFC Central foes, the @Buccaneers, I have a feeling he is going to need to be a big contributor throwing the 🏈. Let’s send good vibes his way! 🙏 🙌 #SKOL😈💜
@LilTunechi is 🤢 of the @Packers. ⏰ to change it up! Welcome to #SKOL Nation, Weezy!💜 You finally got your 🧠 right! 👏 @Vikings

SACK MASTERS! #SKOL😈💜
@UnoErra & @AndrewVanGinkel get the sack against the “most elusive QB in the league” to end the 1st half. Masterclass by Brian Flores so far in this NFC North divisional matchup. 🙌
@NachoLeber mentioning @BoogieMan90 on @KFAN1003 during the pregame. Chicago native. I had the pleasure of running into him at a Chicago Bulls game not too long ago. Good guy! Good @Vikings player during a GREAT time for our defensive line! #SKOL😈💜
@Vikings VS @ChicagoBears
Most Vikes fans 😡 the 🧀 but growing up in Chicago…nothing ever made me feel better than a win IN Chicago. Always a tough place to play, the stadium has recently become “SKOL-dier Field” w/Vikes winning the last 6 in CHI. Can we make it 7️⃣?! #SKOL😈💜
With all 👀 on Brian Flores & Ben Johnson for this weekends @Vikings VS @ChicagoBears game, my 🔑 matchup for a Vikes Victory is our EDGE combo of @UnoErra & @AndrewVanGinkel going up against the offensive tackles of the Bears, Braxton Jones (LT) & Darnell Wright (RT). #SKOL😈💜
This young man will be filling in for the recently IR’d @jpmason27. Dont think he’ll get a HUGE workload but he will get some good playing time behind the veteran, @Showtyme_33. He had some GREAT blocks on special teams & in pass protection. LFG, @DallasDeejay! #SKOL😈💜
An underrated but HUGELY important player on the @Vikings defense, @blockayyy, is going to be equally important this Sunday against the @ChicagoBears. I believe he can expose the Bears by blitzing inside on their Center, Garrett Bradbury, former turnstile for the Vikes. #SKOL😈💜
@NoExcuses_23 on Sunday’s matchup against our NFC North foes, the @ChicagoBears:
“Those guys like to talk. We like to do our talking on Sundays.” 💪😤

My 2️⃣ dream scenarios for the @Vikings in 2026:
1️⃣ @jjmccarthy09 continues to work his ass off to become the Franchise QB that I believe he can still become
2️⃣ Vikings make a trade for another, already-proven Franchise QB who happens to be my favorite QB in the NFL: @JoeyB
Considering current circumstances of the franchise, it’s most likely that the Vikings will bring in a veteran QB to “compete” with JJ in 2026. My preferred option would be to bring in Daniel Jones thru free agency. This, of course, being contingent on Indy’s inability to re-sign him to a long-term contract once the season is over, allowing him to test free agency yet again. I expect him to receive something similar to what Sam Darnold received for the Seahawks: 3 Years/$100.5M ($33.5M AAV w/$55M guaranteed). Seahawks also have option to cut bait after one year w/a $25.6M dead cap hit if they do chose to move on after one year. Any team signing Daniel Jones would be wise to do the same.
Mac Jones is an interesting option as well but he is currently contracted thru 2026 with the 49ers and the Vikings would likely have to fork over a 2nd or 3rd (possibly more) to acquire him. Plus, I am not 100% convinced that the 49ers would want to give up their security blanket for the oft-injured Brock Purdy. Of course, if the price is right…I’m sure they will consider it. But how much is too much to give up if you are the Vikings? It’s hard to keep giving up picks for players who are not long-term solutions. I expect them to hold onto their picks to draft future players on rookie contracts UNLESS they are able to get the RIGHT player. The Wilfs have always shown a willingness to do whatever it takes to WIN and WIN NOW.
The decision becomes: do you sacrifice cap room that could be used to provide more quality players for JJ by signing Daniel Jones or are you more willing to part ways with draft capital to acquire Mac Jones?
Giving up draft capital to acquire QB “depth,” given the Vikings current estimated cap space for 2026 (-$24M), seems to be the logical idea. 💡
But…what if the Vikings, who’s coach has clearly shown a preference to deal with veteran QBs, go BIG and take a swing for the oft-injured but definitively proven, JOE BURROW? This would clearly make Justin Jefferson happy before a snap is even taken in 2026 and would quell any ridiculous rumors that he would want out of Minnesota. But what would the cost be?
I don’t see a trade for a “franchise” QB happening without JJ being included in that trade. Draft capital? Look for the Vikings to be required to send at least 2-1st round picks (‘26 & ‘27), maybe even a third 1st rounder in ‘28 or 1-2 mid-round picks (2nd -4th rounders). As a reference, the Rams sent two 1st rounders and a 3rd, along with Jared Goff to the Lions in order to acquire Matthew Stafford. Jared Goff, however, led the Rams to a Super Bowl in 2018 after having up and down seasons in ‘16 & ‘17. JJ, at this moment and quite unfortunately, has proven nothing and will provide little to no trade value to ANY team. So, what else would you offer to entice the Bengals besides JJ & draft capital?
How about a Pro Bowl defender to help bolster their struggling defense? Namely Jonathan Greenard, who is due to receive $22.3M in ‘26. He provides not only probowl talent on the defensive end (JG has posted top 5️⃣ pressure rates the past two years for the Vikings) but also comes at a significantly lower price tag than that of Trey Hendrickson ($30M) and is also 3 years younger. Of course, losing JG would be heartbreaking for me personally but the recent rise of @UnoErra provides enough hope for me to move on from JG IF we can land a QB the caliber of JoeyB. And of course, the Vikings also have the best cap specialist in the league in Exec-VP of 🏈 Ops in Mr. Rob Brzezinski to figure it all out on the money end.
My 1st dream 💭 is my preferred dream & it begins with JJ McCarthy showing improvement over these last 5 games. What would you do?

@jjmccarthy09 will have an opportunity against the @packers to be the 1st @Vikings QB since @KirkCousins8 in ‘20 to go 3-0 ON THE ROAD in the NFC North.
