Feeling the quiet void after Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's spring Land of Hope and Dreams tour, buoying us up, I scratched in my vault back to Uncasville on April 12, 2024, and here is its sad and sweet Bobby Jean, one that makes the heart swell every time I hear it.
BREAKING: Hunter Biden SHREDS the media's double standard toward the Trump family in one devastating post — and EVERY word is documented.
Hunter Biden just posted something on X that cuts right to the heart of America's broken media landscape — and it's IMPOSSIBLE to argue with.
"So let me get this straight," he wrote. "Jake Tapper is focused on attacking my Mom," referring to the comments the CNN anchor has made about disbelieving some of the claims in Jill Biden’s latest memoir.
"Meanwhile, Jared and Ivanka are building a private island paradise on Albanian protected land." TRUE. Over 100,000 Albanians are in the streets. Anti-corruption prosecutors have opened an investigation. Flamingo habitats are being bulldozed. It BARELY registers on mainstream media.
"Don Jr. married the daughter of Epstein's banker." Also TRUE. While Epstein survivors read their FBI abuse reports aloud outside the Justice Department, Pam Bondi refused to answer a even a SINGLE question about Trump and the Epstein files, and DOJ lawyers intervened to make sure she didn't.
"A startup that Donald Jr. fund backs just got a record $620 million Pentagon loan." FACTCHECK: ALSO TRUE. While Trump's own financial disclosures show him trading stock in companies his administration then hands billion-dollar contracts to, Don Jr.'s SHADY investment connections to Pentagon contractors receive almost NO scrutiny from mainstream media.
"Eric is taking an Israeli drone company public for $1.5 billion in the middle of a war with Iran that nobody wanted." Also TRUE, but that story got almost NO coverage.
And then Hunter Biden delivered the punchline that lands like a sledgehammer: "And I know: 'But what about your paintings, Hunter?'"
HUNTER IS 100% RIGHT: His art sales, laptop, and legal troubles consumed years of breathless media coverage. The Trump children's CORRUPT overseas business deals, foreign investments, Pentagon contracts, and connections to Jeffrey Epstein's associates a free pass.
And while Jake Tapper attacks Jill Biden is being attacked for a book, Jared Kushner is bulldozing protected wetlands for a $4 billion resort while his father-in-law runs foreign policy, while raising BILLIONS from shady deals with foreign governments.
There is simply NO comparison!

New statement from Scott Pelley:
“Last month, 60 Minutes lost its DNA when our entire senior leadership and two of our best on-air correspondents were cruelly fired without cause. Good people were silenced because they stood up for our audience. They stood for fairness against the forces of political bias; they stood for professionalism against chaos.
For my part, new management has instructed me to inject falsehoods and bias into a politically sensitive story. I’ve been told to include assertions that are unverified. To date, in every case, I have managed to ignore these instructions or refuse them. Recently, politicians have been invited to choose correspondents for interviews on the broadcast. Giving politicians control over 60 Minutes interviews is not how this is done. Finally, incompetence and unprofessionalism in the new management have wreaked havoc. In a case involving one of my stories, the entire program came within 19 minutes of not getting on the air at all.
At 60 Minutes, we have fought harder than anyone knows to save the program that became an American icon. We owed that to our millions of viewers. I am deeply moved by the thousands of wishes we have received to “keep up the good fight.” Most of the men and women of CBS News are still in that fight. But now the collapse of values at the top has become untenable. The leadership of 60 Minutes is no longer recognizable. The principles I hold dear are gone, and so I must leave as well.”
BREAKING: Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello just BURIED Trump’s Freedom 250 concerts under an avalanche of rock legends.
Donald Trump's Great American State Fair — his big musical celebration of America's 250th birthday — features Vanilla Ice, a version of Milli Vanilli whose original member died in 1998, and Bret Michaels of Poison. Artists have been fleeing it since the day it was announced.
Tom Morello just answered with the Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews, Joan Baez, Cypress Hill, Killer Mike, Dropkick Murphys, Jack Black, System of a Down's Serj Tankian, Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard, Run-DMC's Darryl McDaniels, and Soundgarden/Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron.
The contrast could not be more devastating.
Morello's Power to the People Festival will take place on October 3rd at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland — exactly one month before the midterm elections — with any of a dozen acts on the bill capable of selling out the venue by themselves. Springsteen, who just finished his protest-heavy Land of Hope and Dreams Tour under FBI protection due to death threats from Trump supporters, announced the festival from the stage at Nationals Park on the tour's closing night.
The festival will include a "Freedom Village" — an immersive space for civic engagement, grassroots organizing, mutual aid, and social impact initiatives. A portion of ticket proceeds, and 100 percent of VIP ticket sales, go directly to pro-democracy organizations VoteRiders and HeadCount.
Trump's concert was paid for by Boeing, Shell, Toyota, and Royal Caribbean — companies regulated by his own cabinet. Morello's festival is funding voter registration.
Trump's lineup includes an act whose original member died in 1998, a rapper whose last hit was in 1990, and a Celebrity Apprentice winner. Morello's lineup includes living legends who are actively touring, recording, and selling out arenas worldwide.
Young MC fled Trump's concert because nobody told him it was political. C+C Music Factory's frontman stayed while saying on camera that he doesn't "f--- with Trump." Morris Day simply posted, "It's a no from me."
Meanwhile, Springsteen announced his participation in the Power to the People event from a sold-out stadium in Washington DC during his “Land Of Hope & Dreams” tour.
This is what the resistance sounds like. And it sounds a whole lot better than "Ice Ice Baby."
Tickets for the Power to the People Festival go on sale on May 30 at 10AM ET, but you can sign up for pre-sale access on May 29 at 10AM ET via sign-up on the Power to the People website.

🇺🇸🧐“AND YOU STILL DARE TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH…”
Sasha Legerman: This is too accurate not to share.
This Australian’s response to Trump’s rant that “NATO does nothing for America” is absolutely devastating:
“Mate. You run a country where 600,000 homeless people will sleep on the streets tonight.
A country where 40% of adults can’t cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money.
A country where insulin costs more than a car payment, and people ration it just to stay alive.
A country where medical debt is the number one cause of bankruptcy.
A country where women die in hospital parking lots because doctors are too afraid of abortion laws to treat miscarriages.
You imprison more of your own citizens than any country on Earth.
More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea.
In the land of the free, 2 million people sit in cages, and a quarter of them haven’t even been convicted of anything.
They’re simply too poor to afford bail.
Your life expectancy is declining. You’re the only developed nation where that’s happening.
Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba’s.
Your children practice active shooter drills between math and English classes while you sell defense stocks to your friends.
Your minimum wage hasn’t changed in 15 years.
Your teachers work two jobs, your veterans sleep under bridges, and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that never attacked you.
And now a convicted criminal — found liable for sexual abuse, defending a pedophile, sleeping with a porn star, and running the biggest dumpster-fire campaign since the Taliban — is thanking you for yet another disaster.
And you call Greenland badly governed?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world.
Nobody there goes bankrupt because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because insurance refused treatment.
‘NATO wasn’t there when we needed them.’
When exactly was that, champ?
September 11?
Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU.
Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU.
Australia wasn’t even in NATO, and we still showed up. For twenty years.
And then you left at 2 a.m. without telling anyone and left everybody else to clean up the mess.
You don’t care that a great nation is being terrorized by your friend, and you haven’t shown it a single ounce of sympathy.
So maybe before calling other countries badly governed, take a look at your own backyard, you aluminum siding salesman with a spray tan.
The only thing badly managed in this picture is your damn mouth.
And you still dare to lecture the rest of the world?”
@Ferika0409@Peter_reicht Leider wird das diese energiepolitischen BlindgängerInnen in keinerlei Weise kratzen, die stecken bis zum Anschlag in den Hintern der Fossil-Lobby…..
I really miss this kind of America.
Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford ran against each other in 1976.
When Ford passed away, Carter gave the eulogy at his funeral.
When Carter passed away, Ford’s son Steve spoke at Carter’s funeral.
Barack Obama and John McCain ran against each other in 2008.
When McCain passed away, Obama gave the eulogy at his funeral.
They disagreed. They debated. They fought hard for what they believed in.
But at the end of the day, they still saw each other as human beings. As Americans.
That is the part we have lost.
Somewhere along the way, disagreement turned into hatred. Politics turned into teams. And people forgot that respect does not mean you agree with someone on everything.
I still believe we can get back to this.
Not because it will be easy. Not because everyone will suddenly think the same.
But because America is supposed to be better than this.
Bipartisan respect used to be possible.
And someday, I pray we remember how to do it again. 🇺🇸💙
BREAKING: Bernie Sanders brutally mocks billionaires over his proposed wealth tax: “Poor Elon Musk would only have $737 billion left!”
Sen. Bernie Sanders just delivered one of the funniest, most savage takedowns of billionaire whining in recent memory.
While pushing for higher taxes on the ultra-wealthy, Sanders mocked his opponents who claim such policies are too harsh on the poor, suffering billionaires:
“My opponents claim that this legislation is punitive and confiscatory. Oh, we’re just picking on these poor billionaires. I mean, my God, how cruel can you be?”
Then came the punchlines that had the room laughing:
“If that bill were in effect this year, Elon Musk would pay $39 billion more in taxes. This confiscatory, terrible, drastic, radical piece of legislation would leave Musk with just $737 billion left to survive on.
Now, I know you’re worried about him, but what do you think? Think he can make it on $737 billion?”
Of course, Bernie couldn’t let the Amazon and Washington Post owner off the hook:
“Jeff Bezos would owe about $14 billion more in taxes, but he would still have $265 billion to put a roof over his head.”
The crowd loved it. And seriously, who wouldn’t? The idea that taxing the richest people in human history a little more is somehow cruel while millions of Americans struggle to afford groceries is peak billionaire propaganda.
Bernie was referring to the Make Billionaires Pay Their Fair Share Act, which he and Rep. Ro Khanna introduced earlier this year. The bill would impose a 5 percent annual wealth tax on the roughly 940 Americans with a net worth of $1 billion or more.
Economists say this would raise trillions over a decade to fund direct payments to working families, expanded healthcare, affordable housing, and other priorities, while leaving even the richest Americans with hundreds of billions of dollars in wealth.
Bernie’s point is crystal clear: the ultra-wealthy have more money than any human being could possibly need in multiple lifetimes, yet they still cry victim the second anyone suggests they pay their fair share.
The ultra-rich can absolutely afford to pay more, and pretending otherwise is getting harder and harder to take seriously.
If you are on board with Bernie and his 5 percent wealth tax on billionaires, like and share this post.
