Some of our chapter members went down to PA for the 3rd annual Rustbelt Rendezvous. Hosted by the @PittsburghSRA .
Thank you for organizing and hosting a wonderful weekend of shooting and other fun activities!
(Many did not want their pics taken, so heres what we did get.)
The 2nd annual Rustbelt Rendezvous was a success!
Over 55 people from 7 chapters came together to build solidarity, share skills, and vibe.
All food was provided by PGH, and skillshares and workshops happened over 5 days.
We hope to see more of yinz next year!
A group of chapter members recently attended Woodland Brutality in West Virginia and it was a trip to remember with a lot of knowledge of practical shooting gained.
Read more about it in the SRA blog, and thanks to @InRangeTV for the shout-out!
A family in Pittsburgh with a trans kid has suffered harassment from neighbor over the past year. That neighbor is now in court and the family has asked for a public show of support outside their hearing at 8a on Friday at the City County Building.
@CoffeeOtt We’ve got reccs for less fashy gun stores, but not ranges. The tamest a gun range will get, short of it being owned and operated by leftists, are public ranges on state game lands. Since there aren’t any leftist ranges in the area, we keep safe by going to any range en masse.
#OtD 2 Dec 1859 US abolitionist John Brown was executed by the state of Virginia for his leadership in a plot to incite an armed rebellion against slavery
@C73712161C@PghProtests We’re a little more concerned about what’s going to be done about all these reactionary shit weasels who sometimes wander into our comments saying stupid bullshit. On behalf of the chapter, I kindly invite you to white on white crime yourself.
In light of recent events, we feel the need to remind Pittsburgh that we are an org dedicated to helping marginalized folk learn how to safely handle firearms. This includes queer people. If you fear for your safety in a queerphobic world, we encourage you to join our community.
