COFEK moves to court to stop Sh375b JKIA expansion deal partly awarded to controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo's firm, IMC Construction, argues process secretive and tainted by corruption.
Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka appeared in the Court of Appeal today, acting as the lead counsel to block the government's proposed multi-billion shilling sale of its Safaricom shares.
Mr. William Ruto and his boys are on a looting spree.
Acknowledging that his game over, they are saying it is injury time.
That is the mantra.
They are looting everything from struggling Kenyans. Kenya is simply fleeced.
Dry!
Just 13 days to the closure of the financial year 2024/25, they are stealing a whooping Kshs. 6.2 Billion through a supplementary budget in votes that are not audited.
The money to be drawn in cash through votes disguised as maintenance and operations, other operating expenses and security operations.
The cash is being siphoned through State House, Office of the Deputy President, state department of Internal Security and the National Intelligence Service.
This is money for bribing voters, paying goons, buying MPs and Senators, counter-productive empowerment programs and the Ol Kolou by-election.
This is happening when hospitals have no drugs, cancer patients are deep pain, our students have no capitation, university and college students have no funding, name it!
Lord God, please have Mercy on our beloved Country, Kenya!
Irungu Kang’ata: For me, when I compare this deal and Adani, assuming somebody asked me which one I would choose. Neither is a good deal, but I'd definitely choose the Adani deal; this is worse. The Adani deal was private; it was an entity doing construction using its own money and getting a concession to recoup that money. The taxpayer was not paying anything. This is one is the very opposite; the infrastructure fund is being used to fund this expansion of the airport. It means it is public money; if the deal goes wrong, the public loses money #JKLive
The moment President Trump signs the Iran deal at the Palace of Versailles.
The agreement was finalized during a dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron inside the historic palace.
The signing marked a major diplomatic milestone after months of negotiations aimed at ending the conflict between the U.S. and Iran.
BREAKING: Okiya Omtatah has told the Senate that the Executive is sinking Kenya into unnecessary debt.
He argued that Parliament should have a say before any loan is taken. When attempts were made to silence him, Omtatah said he would rather be suspended than be part of a process that is ruining the country.
Honestly, I agree with him.
What has never made sense to me is how a small group of people can wake up one morning, borrow billions in our name, and commit unborn generations to repayment without ever asking the people who will carry the burden.
Every new loan becomes a debt on your child. Your taxes. Your future.
Yet the public is expected to simply trust that everything is fine.
Why should citizens only be informed after the deal is already signed?
If the government wants a loan, let it table everything publicly: who is lending the money, how much is being borrowed, what it will be used for, and how it will be repaid.
Then let Kenyans decide.
Because the people who will repay the debt should have more power than the people signing it.
The issue in South Africa has never been about illegal or legal immigrants, the issue is that south Africans hate other Africans. A foreign national is someone who doesn't belong to that particular country. In other words, South Africans are trying to change British English, their defenition of a foreigner is anyone who is in their country who is an African, not an Indian , not a Briton, but an African national. The last step of becoming a witch or wizard is envy. South Africans have reached that point.
The west condemns polygamy but praise homosexuality.
They give homosexuality good names like 'love wins', 'freedoms' , 'rainbow love'.
They give polygamy bad names like 'cheating', 'infidelity', 'unfaithfulness' and 'dishonesty'
What a paradoxical view of human existence.
Chuluni-Zombe Road, recently launched for tarmacking by Ruto during his Ukambani tour. The MP Kitui East, bwana Nimrod Mbai is only seen on TV news fighting KPLC personnel and threatening the people criticizing the current regime.
Kitui East tumekapitia man!!
"Verbosity is not detail. You can clearly see that the CS doesn't have an answer to my question. We want answers to the concerns of the public, not housing," Sifuna to CS Mbadi
Constitutional petition filed at the High Court seeking to stop government and its affiliated social media accounts from blocking Kenyans from accessing, engaging with the platforms
NEW: John Mbadi now says the JKIA expansion will cost $1.2 billion, not the $2.9 billion figure that has been widely reported.
However, he did not table any documents to support the claim.
Several media outlets in kenya and even Zimbabwe, including reports citing the CCCC deal , put the project cost at about $2.9 billion (KSh375 billion).
Until the government releases the contract and financing documents, take these figures with a pinch of salt.
The only way to settle this debate is to make the contract public.
