@benwhitelaw It's actually not that hard.
An Internet bank can approve me in minutes and send over my financial behaviour.
Twitter could do the same whilst still offering anonymous profiles.
This is truly crazy. They put data centres in dry climates to help with their evaporative cooling systems.
These same places normally have water shortages.
NEW: Data centers bring billion dollar developments to cash-strapped cities, but they guzzle water and electricity while creating relatively few jobs. Some communities in drought-prone states are starting to question their environmental cost https://t.co/nTSqtOm6rH
This is great to see.
Don't forget that PixAlert can scan your corporate network for porn.
If a staff member is a victim of such behaviour in the workplace we can ensure all such data is removed immediately.
Today I was notified by @gardainfo that an individual has been arrested in relation to this cyberflashing incident. I am very grateful for all their hard work ๐ I hope this action sends a strong message to others that cyber flashing is sexual harassment and is wrong
I'm back from a week at my mom's house and now I'm getting ads for her toothpaste brand, the brand I've been putting in my mouth for a week. We never talked about this brand or googled it or anything like that.
As a privacy tech worker, let me explain why this is happening. ๐งต
Irish tech cos need to ensure we have appropriate levels of industry representation.
@ScaleIreland is best placed to represent us and give us a seat at the table.
The fees are not excessive so sign up now.
Legislation and policy are not decided on twitter. No fees = no voice

Signal (the messaging app) ran these ads on Instagram using Facebook targeting to highlight data privacy. Absolutely genius but they were of course banned
@patrick1386@KevDoyle_Indo Agreed. The real concern is that Ireland is a world centre for Data Governance due to the high numbers of Data Centres and big tech companies based here.
If the politicians don't follow the rules then it's hard to get them to enforce rules on the tech companies.
@patphelan I would imagine your collection of data is names and numbers. Plus you have a reason to retain it.
The big issue is if you were storing personal data about those people and their beliefs. Then if you also planned to target them based on those beliefs
@MichaelMDowling Just because data is being collected by many doesn't make the use of this data correct.
Irish politicians have Zero comprehension of how we are a global centre for Data Privacy.
The zero accountability to the atrocious performance of @DPCIreland is a good example of this.
