@Moth865 When they were planning the game back in the 90s their intention was for Link to look like shiny plastic. In 2026, we finally have the technology to bring that vision to life
@HollywoodHoot Yes! If capcom announced they were remaking DMC2 instead of their already beloved games I would be ecstatic. The problem is the gaming audience has been trained to view only prestige titles as being worthy of being remade, which makes zero sense
@PatrickHeizer The young will be turned into biofuel before the modern gerontocracy allows boomers to feel any discomfort. They are right, unfortunately
Struggling to think of how this reveal could have been worse. The leaks aren’t their fault but removed the “wtf” flashbang that I think they were banking on for smoothing things over. They showed just enough to induce dread but not enough to carry any sort of conversation beyond that. Fwiw I do think it’ll turn out to be at least competent but voice acted Navi and (given the timing) artistic/structural alterations for the movie are near certainties
@dizziedee@warper2509 FFXIII feels like a luxury product in a way that few other games have captured. Even this long after its release there’s something about its presentation that still feels like it’s from the future
@Heroine__P_@MinModulation They’ll add in one throwaway line like “I used to scavenge for bear asses like these with my dead daughter. I miss her…” and suddenly there’s a thousand assholes online saying “actually the side quests add a lot of world building!”
There’s an uptick in kids who are just Weird. Not rude or rowdy which I consider normal and even amusing in some contexts, but anti-social and kind of unreachable. Had an older (9-11) kid ride his scooter up to stand in front of my toddler and his friend while they were on the swings and then, after about 20 seconds of staring, kick his scooter at them. No injuries/falls but easily could have been and when I told the kid off he gave me the Gen Alpha stare like he was just confused
