So @Disney and @EpicGames have just brought Hercules to @Fortnite! Which is crazy awesome. It's a match made in Olympus!
If a half-god laying waste to armies with lightning uzis and fighting a nuclear kaiju/hydra sounds Epic, click the link for details.

A very condensed KRAKOOM to fit in a tight space on the art. The distressed texture comes from an old Vietnam War-era ammo box in my garage. I took a picture of the scratches on the side, and vectorized it.
@Vixhal I've got a mac pro sitting in my garage right now that I picked up from an office that was clearing out its gear. I should see if I can get it to boot.
@JASS1000001 What I find really fascinating about this scene is that the animation itself is not very complex. The moves are fairly limited. It's the details in the base artwork and how the animated elements are used with it that enhance the overall feel of complexity.
First time in over 20 years that I've had to look for a job without already having one. It's a trip. The market suuuucks right now too. Hell, Meta just nuked something like 8000 people this week.
I had a second-round technical interview earlier this week. I'm assuming, given the holiday weekend, that I probably won't get any feedback from the recruiting team until Tuesday at the earliest.
Sorry I haven't been posting updates lately but I had to take a break to process and figure out my next steps after getting caught in the wave of recent tech layoffs.
I haven't wanted to share it publicly because inevitably there comes worry about fulfillment and how funds are handled.
One thing I want to assure backers of immediately is that funds are safe and already allocated for our vendors to support fulfillment. I have separate personal and business accounts and the two do NOT mix. Ever.
I got delayed with the final layouts on Mercmaid's last extra content pages due to interview prep and such. I'm back on it though.
I'll have an update out to backers this weekend with the digital file.
@MichaelDietsche@zenturian2000 It's not that hard to set up a business account and not touch it unless you're covering a campaign expense. I really have a hard time understanding how it gets so messy for folks.
@zenturian2000 Yeah, no drinking from that well until you've taken care of your obligations.
I already have a few leads and a decent amount put aside to carry me through to my next gig. I'm just going to wrap up the remaining 3 classes for my bachelor's degree while I look for work.
