This week we enjoyed a wonderful assembly where we were recognised officially for our work as a CUSP Lead School! Out of the 11 lead schools across the country, we were the first to be awarded this in recognition of our school striving for excellence!
Year 5 & 6 at Place Farm joined Coupals yesterday to meet with Michael Rosen. Michael read some of his most well known books and poems from memory, took questions from the children and then signed books. The children had lots of fun!
This week Year 5 and 6 enjoyed an author zoom call with Katherine Rundell, the author of Rooftoppers and The Explorer. This was a wonderful opportunity to hear about her new book and ask lots of questions!
During the 6 week break many of our children started using the Fonetti app to support with reading.
This week we found out that we have been shortlisted as a finalist for our region. If we win, we are invited to Amazon HQ in London @FonettiApp
During the 6 week break there was a competition between the Trust schools in Haverhill to get as many children to sign up to the Suffolk Reading Challenge. Well, Place Farm won! The children were so excited to receive a box of new books!
