Hello all! It's been a minute and life has been very real. But RK and @Chelle1917 are back and trying something new.
Presenting Plantagenet Lampshade, a quick riff on current events and the echoes of those events in history.
This first installment features news of the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, which has an obvious echo in the 15th century downfall of another king's vaguely errant sibling, George, Duke of Clarence.
In short, British royalty has long been the butt of all (malmsey) jokes.

This podcast is on an extended hiatus, but since it's that time of year, @Chelle1917 and @roh_tweets dedicated an entire episode to #RichardIII. Listen in! #medieval#HistoricalFiction

@NathenAmin Maybe? I think it turns on who came up with the pre-contract as a strategy to protect Richard’s interests. If it was someone like Catesby (who Hastings also had on retainer), it was probably a strategic decision to remove someone who knew too much.
