Haven't posted much in a while, but will resume posting Fursuit friday stuff today. So many backlog of pictures. But not here.
Main location is on mastadon: @[email protected]
Might try posting at Plasmagryphon on Bluesky too
@KikonineArt May I ask when the head was commissioned? I am trying to get in contact with the maker regarding an already paid commission. I can discuss it in DMs or telegram, but don't want to bother you too much either.
@WillowCreativ And the strap around the back is as printed too? I would have guessed it had an elastic strap at first glance but awesome if the material can print the strap/back too.
@kijani_lion@JesseBlueFox I haven't had a chance to watch any parade videos, but 800 suits sounds like a lot if overall attendance was around 3100. I'm so used to fursuit count being ~15%.
@spiltgrapesoda I was at ANW and somehow missed that these services were being offered. I potentially would have paid for some sewing repairs if price was right vs. trying to do it myself.
@WillowCreativ@ZealotDKD@UmbreoNoctie Even then it isn't "just costs". My short stint making quotes for custom products had me do a detailed breakdown of all material, personnel, overhead and contingency costs, only for my boss to say, "Great, add 20% because we had another project go over" and that was a nonprofit.
@WillowCreativ@ZealotDKD@UmbreoNoctie I remember looking into monster costumes once and found some vendors that make more robust ones suitable for commercial haunted houses. Unsurprisingly they were similarly priced to a full fursuit even with a team making it in a well equipped pro shop. And it was less bespoke.
@WillowCreativ@ZealotDKD@UmbreoNoctie If like other vendors, overhead increases once you have office space and salaries. Business clients pay more for speed and consistency, so prices stay high or higher and tend to be more professional to work with too. You lose incentive to work with smaller clients unless they pay
