@GamestopHolder@HarmanSmith64@PalmyrPar I'm already a bit exhausted now that it's actually confirmed. When it was just a leak, only the Zelda fans were talking about it. Now non-fan larpers are going all "culture is dead" and annoying BotK fans are moping about its realistic graphics 😂
@djark@NekoMariRAWR@PalmyrPar seriously can't fathom it
why do you want a thing that you like to look cooler than before
i've always loved remakes when they're of things i like
@RZgwTZThmB29287@RoseMarieAnon I don't think they would have done this fully voiced tapestry crawl retreading the opening lines of the game if it was effectively OoT3D 2.0.
There's something big here and they held it off so it could truly shine later without the clutter of all the other "E3" stuff.
@RZgwTZThmB29287@RoseMarieAnon This ain't no remaster. It took the spot in this Nintendo Direct's "one last thing" slot. There's real ambition behind this. I think it's majority in-house with a lot of help from MonolithSoft.
@StephLynn291@RZgwTZThmB29287@RoseMarieAnon the more I hear this take the more I dislike it.
at one point I thought it was a perfect idea, but now idek.
i'm not interested in a 50/50 compromise between linear/open world. open world elements should only be like 20%.
@RZgwTZThmB29287@RoseMarieAnon why would this be evidence of outsourcing? i think it's just an oversight and prioritizing the new branding over what the original intent of that redesign was.
note: LA/EoW used this same design.
@juan62118990@BigBussy23@Joemoth11098375@SpookyHooga they're disconnected instalments in the same universe with vague connections to each other, usually. botw/totk are the least connected to any of the previous games.
@Tophermoray@imGopalTiwari@DiscussingFilm going back to the "traditional" formula (or at least the entry that truly defined it) is actually the least safe move now.
