@magnus_trent@TouHupsistou@Pirat_Nation It all went downhill when TTRPGS (specifically 5e) started appealing to the masses by focusing more on roleplaying with light rulesets. War gamers were pushed out of the hobby. All that's left is troons and theater kids.

The auto translation for this post has it reading: people can't play board games because "they can't read the rulebook" rather than "they can't understand the rulebook". For a second I thought Japan was having a literacy issue 🤣 Auto translation loses a lot of nuance.
So far, it's been fun and bombastic. The highs are high and the lows are low. Ammo is tight and definitely a resource to be managed. Enemies can get nasty action chains through their cards and get the jump on you if not careful.
Gears of War Scenario 1. Lost the first game because Cole ran too far ahead and ended up getting ganked 😭 Second game was a victory. Baird Killed two boomers in the same space using grenades, then Cole chainsawed the final wretch and drone using his "Slaughter" card.
Cultural Marxist have been slowly indoctrinating us into anti-natalism. ALL the female models lack full lips, wide hips, and any breasts. Go play any Assassin's Creed game, it's the same thing. They look and are animated the same as the male characters.
Yeah, PlayStation studios is doubling down in their direction
Their California devs are dead set on making PS a girlboss/feminist brand....these guys just stopped making games for men
I'm very relieved that their garbage is not going to PC anymore
I'm SO OUT
Finished the set up for Gears of War. Specific tiles are used for each scenario, but the order they're placed is randomized. Each enemy type has 4 AI cards. They're all shuffled together to create a deck. Players used a shared action card deck.
There's no proof, but I'm certain the owner knew what they had. The previous owner knew this game was valuable but wasn't trying to scalp or "make a profit". I think it's a good attitude to have. Board games are meant to be played, not sit on a shelf collecting dust.
#bgstats for May in Fort Worth Texas. Those hours logged for Dune War for Arrakis were for a single, solo, playthrough 🤣
Wandering Galaxy I rage quit the other day because the app didn't save my game. It was a pretty fun family game. Not meant for solo play.
