Front Royal officials have formally paused the acceptance of new data center applications for 90 days while the Planning Commission drafts zoning language to prohibit such facilities within town limits. The unanimous action follows the council’s recent rejection of a proposal to allow data centers under certain conditions. During the same work session, council members also discussed converting part of Church Street into a pedestrian walkway and reviewed a proposed automobile graveyard that has raised environmental concerns.
