@oysta Sstill a chance: the undecided and other vote is still high in all polls. The media "analysis" shows they're all in an echo chamber.

@oysta Exclusive offer* ... *: some assembly required

@oysta right, it should be alias vim="emacs" ... it stands for Vi IMproved after all ;)

[Plenty Of Zest @PlentyOfZest]

@oysta Of course but I think it's mostly familiarity. A decent dev can grok higher-order functions. I don't need to see i++ 99% of the time.

[Plenty Of Zest @PlentyOfZest]

@oysta To me well written functional code makes it clear what it is doing, whereas imperative code is cluttered with the minutiae of how.

Smartphones be great and all that, but it's amazing to me that people can no longer wait 1 minute for a coffee without staring at a screen.

@oysta I'll be fine as long as she only speaks about (a subset of) food! :).

[Plenty Of Zest @PlentyOfZest]

@oysta Yes, although it's going to be interesting when Ella starts speaking more Cantonese and I have NFI :).

[Plenty Of Zest @PlentyOfZest]

@oysta This is me every time Jane is explaining Cantonese (which I believe is roughly as painful as Vietnamese with ~6 tones each).
