@Caroleeenalala Shoot me a DM. I work in shelter medical and specialize in unthriftiness in neonatal kittens. I may have some supportive care ideas for rescuers if itβs a matter of just getting them through it. I may also have some helpful diagnostic ideas.
@Caroleeenalala@PAcat15 Pyrantel, panacur, and ponazuril/toltazuril? Also, which antiviral are you using in conjunction with metro & clav? Has anyone tried injectable Cerenia? (I know about the risks, but a Hail Mary is a Hail Mary)
@Caroleeenalala Talk to me about what youβre seeing when you run fecal floats - oil droplets? If so, are they clear or are they yellow? Are we talking neonates or weanlings? Are any of these kittens developing a high fever or acute joint inflammation?
I never, ever use this horrifying nightmare app anymore because it makes me sad, but I know of no other way to make sure that @ThoughtSlime sees this incredible cosplayer I met at NYCC.
@LynnDelacour @A_High_Number The venom causes necrosis, but the bite itself can introduce bacteria into that sub dermal tissue and the subsequent infection is what creates all of that purulent discharge and inflammation. Give doggo snuggles for me!
@LynnDelacour @A_High_Number Good old Carprofen! Keep that wound draining and keep it clean. Sterile saline or even LRS can be used to flush it with a syringe. I like to flush abscesses from punctures/bite wounds 2-3x daily.
