2. US community banks challenge crypto national-trust charters
Confirmed: On 2 October, the Independent Community Bankers of America filed suit against the OCC over its framework for national trust-bank charters used by crypto firms. It seeks to invalidate the relevant rule and guidance and challenge Protego’s conditional approval. This is litigation, not a court judgment; no charter was cancelled by the filing.

My take: softer hiring can reduce pressure for rate hikes, but growth risk remains. I'm watching whether buyers hold the next pullback before chasing Uptober.
