The US is the textbook of two-tier policing.
Daniel Shaver sobbed "please don't shoot me" and was executed with an AR-15. Officer acquitted. Andrew Finch opened his front door. Shot dead in 10 seconds. Officer promoted. Ryan Whitaker surrendered on his knees. Shot twice in the back. Five seconds.
450 white Americans were fatally shot by police every year for the past ten years. Officers acquitted or promoted. That's your two tiers: one where police kill with impunity and one where the families get a settlement cheque and a shrug.
I understand exactly why people are outraged about Henry Nowak. So am I. The difference is I'm also outraged about every instance in which a person got wrongly killed by the Police anywhere in the world.
Your outrage is selective and performative, and these examples make it ridiculously clear.

@PNEFansForum@NorthEndNobber Sadly if that is the design it would have been signed off & manufactured months ago so no chance of having constructive input to get it amended.
The Somerset Farmhouse of 1 North Street, Williton were approached by a "food influencer" that wanted to charge them £2,000 for a review.
They put out a video of Sally eating a sausage roll instead 😆.
Lets make Sally and the Somerset Farmhouse famous for free.
We had a visit today from a cricket groundhopper - meet Peter Tomlins.
He was perched on a bench at the Whittingham Lane end to watch our 1sts take on Chorley and we are the 738th cricket ground he has visited. Yes, 738!
The British people should never tolerate lectures on the ‘death of civilisation’ from the likes of @elonmusk, @JDVance (who called Trump “America’s Hitler” before his convenient change of heart) or any other billionaire or US politician seeking to sow division by interfering in our democracy.
These sanctimonious adolescent hypocrites would be better off addressing the far more severe problems in their own country. Millions of Americans are deliberately kept in the dark about how much better life is in the UK on many key quality-of-life measures, mainly due to media, business, and government investment in propaganda.
Compared to the US, the UK has far fewer homicides per capita, far lower incarceration rates, dramatically fewer gun-related deaths (~60× lower), substantially fewer drug-related deaths, lower obesity rates, more equal income and wealth distribution, higher life expectancy, fewer per capita deaths by stabbing, zero medical bankruptcies from healthcare bills, and far fewer citizens killed by police (~80–100× lower), all while maintaining a stronger, fuller democracy, and even as the US President is on track to be the most corrupt in American history, having already increased his personal wealth by over $3–4 BILLION since taking office.
Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?
Spare us the civilisational lectures, you charlatan.
Atatiana Jefferson, 2019. Shot dead through her bedroom window during a welfare check. Playing video games with her eight-year-old nephew. The officer never identified himself.
Botham Jean, 2018. Shot dead eating ice cream in his own apartment by an off-duty officer who "thought it was her apartment".
John Albers, 2018. Seventeen years old. His friends called police because he was suicidal. Officers killed him during the welfare check.
Parkland, 2018. Seventeen children and staff massacred in their school. The armed officer paid to protect them? Hid outside.
Shajarah Tayyebeh Elementary School, Minab, February 2026. At least 175 dead, most of them girls aged 7 to 12. NYT analysis and US military investigators believe American forces struck the school. Trump blamed Iran without evidence. US Senators are still waiting for answers.
In 2025, American police killed 1,201 people. 98 unarmed. 233 school shootings at K-12 schools. American children do active shooter drills in primary school. American families are afraid to call for welfare checks because officers shoot the people they're sent to help.
Henry Nowak's father said: "We do not want Henry's murder to be used to create further hatred, division or tension". You used it anyway, to lecture a country 3,000 miles away while your administration bombs schoolgirls and your officers shoot people through bedroom windows.
The UK's government has plenty to answer for. But we don't take civilisational lectures from those who run a country that can't keep its children alive in their own classrooms and in their own homes and bomb children in far away lands, you pathetic charlatan.
It was terrible Mr Vice President what happened. And lessons will be learned. But here’s a thought - maybe concentrate instead on why 44000 Americans died last year from gun related deaths, and what can be done about your dreadful disease before you start lecturing others
I’m hearing that Farage is really upset that the riots he has incited are being called the #FarageRiots.
Probably best if we don’t refer to the riots that Farage incited as the #FarageRiots.
Please share to raise awareness of the importance of not using the term #FarageRiots
The World Cup starts next week, so expect Reform politicians to suddenly become England’s biggest fans.
The irony? Some of the players they’ll be cheering for might never have been here under Reform’s policies.
This government can’t have it both ways.
If a State Pension is being classed as a benefit then it should not be used as part of your tax allowance as benefits are non taxable.
The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began.
The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start.
Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have.
If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.
I still remember the first time I heard this.
That there was more to this vocation than was being made out.
Hat tip @amateursuman you had a massive impact.
Farage has achieved his goal — to return from his hiding place with such outrageous statements that he hopes the questions about his £5m donation are now forgotten.
The media are duly obliging by focusing on his racist dog whistles instead of his corruption.
Trumpian.
“Quiet anger is good, you can turn quiet anger into a positive, as opposed to rage, which never leads to anything good”
This you, @Nigel_Farage ?
Well this is all a bit awkward, isn’t it?
