A podcast where we take your favorite pop culture and ruin it. Is it full of problems? Yes. Do we still love it? Also yes. W/ @anniewokely and @theloveliestliz
Your Fave Is Problematic (@PodcastYFIP) host Kristen Bennett (@anniewokely) joins @ceejayperiod and @MicahReneeB unthaw the star-wattage, the tonal whiplash & the strange racial and sexual politics of MADE IN AMERICA, starring Whoopi Goldberg & Ted Danson

@robertzverina (Liz again) Tbh I don’t have a huge opinion on South Park. I find they are hit or miss personally. I like some bits, others are not my bag. I do find they nail a lot of social commentary though. I haven’t seen the Amazon bit though!
@robertzverina For me, there’s also just logistical constrains- the research for the episode as is took a lot of time, and researching alternatives would have added even more research time. Sometimes that’s just not possible due to FT job, life etc. The reality of being an indie podcaster.
@robertzverina I did read a bit on alternatives (which I don’t think I mentioned) but the way corporations work, I personally find it really hard to determine what the most ethical thing to do is, which is perhaps why my feelings at the end were “they suck but idk.”
Happy belated #BeyDay!
And what better way to celebrate the Queen than with a roast! @anniewokely of the @PodcastYFIP joins @ceejayperiod & @MicahReneeB to unthaw the wigs, the music and the truly baffling sexual politics of OBSESSED, starring Beyoncé, Idris Elba and Ali Larter!
Episode 21 is up, and it's something really special - an interview with @theloveliestliz of @PodcastYFIP about queerness, polyamory, purity culture, and what it's like to be a research nerd around relationship topics! https://t.co/isXVZxK6EI
