If he was alive today, many of them wouldn’t accept him in their churches or spaces to speak, listen to his whole message or support him.
Matter fact, they wouldn’t even like him.
It’s 2023, and we’re still playing this game. 🗑️
Today is the day!
Individuals, companies, churches across the nation, & even the fraudulent @FBI who killed him will post the same tired, one sided, biased quotes by MLK Jr then check off the box next to “Performances & Obligations”.
None of them will EVER admit:
Holocaust: “It happened, we MUST fight anti-semitism, punish Kyrie, silence is complicity.”
Stop Asian Hate: “CA gives $14 million to combat hate.”
Slavery, Anti-Blackness: “That’s OLD history, stop using the race card, prove you’re a descendant of slaves, ALL lives matter.”
NON-BLACK PPL:
When your immediate thought to “resolve” a non-violent or non- threatening situation w/ Black people is to call the police, your anti-Blackness AND your understanding of how Black people are treated by police is SPEAKING VERY LOUDLY.
Years ago, I asked Jesus to please not come back til I get married.
Well, now I’m married. And the earth is filled with way too much ridiculousness that I want no part of.
Please come back.
It’s 2022, where too many people are blaming their toxic traits on astrological signs instead of being held accountable & trying to be better.
It’s not the stars nor the moon. It’s you.
Can you imagine going through centuries of oppression & trauma that to this day remains rooted in every single system of society and continues to hold back an entire community that is hated & mistreated by everyday ppl & gov’t on a daily basis?
Black people in America can.
“independence day” - 1776
Juneteenth - 1865
Still fighting - 2022
“What to the slave is 4th of July? This 4th of July is yours, not mine. You may rejoice, I must mourn.”
- Frederick Douglass, 1852
There is NO reason ANY Black person on this planet should be celebrating July 4th as Independence Day anymore.
We NEVER should have in the first place.
The U.S. was built on the backs of Black people. We’re so vital to this earth, they felt the need to TAKE us from our home to build their world.
Moral of the story: y’all can’t do !@&% without us. ✊🏾
People are not “just like that.” They need therapy & prayer so they can deeply reflect, heal, and stop taking pride in their negative behavior that affects others.
Nobody is just “mean” or “rude” or [insert toxic trait here]. “Oh they just like that, that’s just them.” NAH. Behaviors are shaped by experiences and reinforced by enablers, folks who won’t stand up & hold them accountable to grow & be better.
I can’t stand the statement “well that’s just the way I am, that’s just me.” No, you don’t like to be uncomfortable or held accountable so now what you deem to be your “personality” is really immaturity mixed with hurt & insecurity.
