@davepl1968 A subscription model is essentially the only thing that would make me switch to another platform after more than 30 years as a Windows user. That said, ads and bloatware do make the thought cross my mind from time to time. Say no to SaaS.
@davepl1968@ea4eoz I think $400-$500 is fair for a perpetual license in this product class, provided there is no further monetization, such as ads, subscriptions, or recurring revenue. After purchase, the product should serve only the user: the classic software sales model. SaaS is a hard no.
