But leads me to question, when the text says “from the Lord,” do we just choose to ignore that? We’re making an assumption (one I like) that the absence of God was filled by the demonic. But that thought does change the text.

@Sipowicz1042 @WesleyLHuff I know it’s not a satisfying answer for everyone, but it’ll always come down to faith in a supernatural God. How does water turn into wine? How does someone be crucified and stabbed with a spear come back to life? Christianity can only be recognised as truth by faith.

You’re more than welcome to disagree, which you have. But you’re not going convince me that it’s necessary and not exploitative
