@TyrantImmortals@jerr_rrej All those empires you mentioned were European empires which were replaced by other European empires. So that is not exactly the scenario painted here.
@WesleyLHuff The consensus of the Fathers is that the sun goes round the earth. On Mt 16:18, 44 fathers thought the rock is Peter’s confession, 16 interpreted it as Jesus, 8 interpreted it as all the apostles, a few saw the rock as the faithful. Only 17 fathers thought the rock was Peter.
@JamesDueck@jdleggcan Correction: the Bible was published in the late 300's by the (pre-schism) Christian Church after which the Catholic Church protested the practices of Eastern Orthodox brethren and broke away (i.e.,the catholic church were the original protestants).
@CryptoWendyO Force Blackrock to liquidate their homes - private equity should not be buying up all of these homes. If they sold their house inventory - prices would go down. private equity acts as combinations to create oligopolies - in violation of anti-trust legislation
@313educator@AutismApostle@JamesDueck A common prideful comment from Catholics is that catholic mass is a solemn occasion to worship the Lord (often calling Protestant services Bible studies with a concert). If so solemn, I think it is believable that Catholics might ask him to leave. But love for others is lacking.
@CarolKerr1951@Ashleyhays2089 Those who believe in a post trib rapture make a distinction between tribulation and wrath so that the church will go through man-directed tribulation at the hands of the AC, but we will be raptured prior to God pouring out His wrath.
@313educator@AutismApostle@JamesDueck We are supposed to judge people by their fruit and if the “fruit” of the Catholics at those masses was judgement -so much so they asked him to leave (not his feelings), then Christ was not present there.
@SModjesky@JamesDueck@HeagneyBrian While what you say is certainly possible and something to be on guard for (testing the teachings against the Bible), a well-run church will have a board of elders that will find replacement pastors that adhere to the doctrine of the church and curtail any such shift
Cheating by Asian foreign students in the U.S. is at epidemic levels but it's a dirty secret our universities will not discuss publicly.
"Best and brightest" - and systematic cheaters? "Meritocracy" - but they cheat like mad?
Make it make sense.
Americans do not operate this way. Any honest college prof in a school with large numbers of Asian students will tell you this is true.
@sincead33 You are correct that the Bible does not mention an infallible teaching office. That was a catholic innovation to the faith that occurred long after the gospels were written.
@DonnieDarkened@chaotichermes Donnie, you have said that whites (presumably Christians) don't need to be saved, but you have avoided answering whether blacks should be saved. Here, you clearly saying black (Christians) should be saved, why not white Christians in Europe?
@JeanFrenchman@5solas Not all of Paul's letters were determined to be Holy Scripture (i.e., from God). Similarly not all "traditions" taught are from God - and we must test everything (1 Thes 5:21) - regardless if the "tradition" taught was in Paul's time or a new tradition of the church.
@SecretFire79 The Catholic Church let people keep slaves for 1500 years. Once the protestants started reading the Bible for themselves, they started abolitionist movements. If the protestants didn't have Bibles for themselves, we could still have slaves today thanks to the Catholic Church
