I loved watching this mural being painting so much. This is now my favorite Orange St mural ☺️
I'm super stoked about spending my 1st bd in CA at Mt. Shasta & if anyone wants to help me make this bd a memorable one follow my Linktree to donate https://t.co/J1yQt9JZJ1
I finally have a new battery in my laptop! It started dying within the first week or two of arriving in Chico & I've had a lot of other things going on settling in & everything. I'll be spending the next few weeks getting a permanent room rental & topping it off with spending my birthday weekend in Mt. Shasta with one of my new Chico friends. There will be photos!
And speaking of, don't think I forgot about working on a travel log & event review for the 2nd annual Maker's Muse Festival as well as a couple other events. I'll also be getting back to work on artist features. For non-local artists I'll be doing article-style interviews & will be doing in-person interviews with local artists & I'm still inviting people to do the same. All it takes is signing up for Substack & adding people as a contributor. I'm also totally cool with people cross-posting features & bios that are out there promoting their own websites & Substacks. I've really been striving for a good variety of people, I just wasn't expecting to mov clear across the country when I rebooted The Anartist Collective in the beginning of the year 😂
Just know that I will be putting work into the collective again soon, my hiatus was extended quite a bit longer than I expected. Just sit tight. There IS more coming in the future!
And check out this mural on Orange St im Chico, CA! I took these from Chico Fab Lab. The mural artist is Lori Escobar https://t.co/OqHCnrRgrC
Thanks @DJSasquatch2020 for collaborating with me on this track, he made the music, I wrote the song and performed it, and we both shot the music video!

I bartended a hip hop event at Maker Radio last Saturday & had a blast. The artists I talked to were really cool & big congrats to the 2 I talked to who were on 1 year sobriety & brought NA beer with them. I know how hard it can be to remain sober in the music world.
I volunteered at the @chico_housing_action_team Music for Mental Health concert at @thecommonschico Sunday May 24 and had an absolute blast and it's all for a good cause. This was my third time volunteering for @chico_housing_action_team starting with their fundraiser Easter pancake breakfast in the Chico rose garden and I've enjoyed it every time. The people that work and volunteer for CHAT are all so wonderful.
The benefit concert was an enjoyable family-friendly event, the first performer (I never caught his name) playing covers of classic rock songs including The Beatles and @yahmomusic always fantastic performance that attendees of all ages quite enjoyed, especially the little ones. One little girl in particular was very transfixed with @yahmomusic and I got a huge kick out of it. Family-friendly arts events are my favorite because I think it's very important to introduce children to the arts as young as possible and it always warms my heart to see children enjoying themselves so much. Congratulations to everyone for putting on a fantastic benefit concert for a fantastic cause.
