Searing column from @NickKristof with his trademark moral clarity on how the world failed El Fasher and the people of Darfur and Sudan. Satellite analysis from @HRL_YaleSPH cited regarding the scale of killing in the city so far. Please read and share 👇👇👇
I was on @Telegraph Ukraine Latest podcast today with my most detailed + expansive comments to date about @HRL_YaleSPH funding on Ukraine kids mission, funding fr. 🇺🇸 and other govs (or lack thereof), and incredible work of @BringKidsBackUA + @MykolaKuleba and Save 🇺🇦. Listen 👂
This is mass murder in Sudan by the RSF militia, over which we don't have much influence, and enabled by the UAE -- over which we have enormous influence that we refuse to apply. Why would we sell arms to the UAE when it passes them on to a group engaged in mass murder and rape?
(1/2) In a stunning show of support, more than 30 religious orgs across 7 denominations signed a letter to Pres. Trump + Sec. Rubio demanding Ukraine’s kids are returned home as a precondition to peace talks.

Yale's Humanitarian Research Lab, @HRL_YaleSPH, catches the genocidal RSF militia in Sudan with modern military drones on an airfield. So where did they come from? In the past, the UAE has been the main supplier of the RSF as it has massacred and mass-raped civilians.
Dozens have died in nearly two weeks of RSF artillery bombardment on one of Africa’s largest IDP camps - Zamzam in North Darfur. @HRL_YaleSPH has been hunting the guns around the clock from space, and this is what we found 👇… Read more here: https://t.co/rQ0GLnRav0 Live!!!
"Russia must provide Ukraine, the @ICRC, @UNICEF and other relevant authorities a full list of the children it has taken where they originated from, where they currently are present, and document any changes to the children’s personally identifiable information" - @nattyray11
Another solid piece of evidence of Russia’s war crimes against Ukraine and Ukrainians is the Yale HRL study. Yale researchers have identified hundreds of Ukrainian children from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions who have been abducted by Russia since February 2022, as well as their locations and the deportation routes used.
148 children are already listed in Russian child placement databases, 42 of whom have already been adopted, placed under guardianship, or assigned Russian custodians. Another 166 children have been placed with Russian families. The report demonstrates to the entire world the extent of Russia’s actions to erase Ukrainian identity and how systematic its policy is in this regard.
Ukraine is tirelessly working to ensure our children return home and that all those responsible for these heinous crimes are punished. This is a challenging task, but we are doing everything in our power. We are deeply grateful to everyone who is helping us— every countries, organization, leader, both political and public.
Only together can we restore the justice Russia has violated on such a massive scale, protect the future of Ukrainian children, and bring them back home.

Same day @HRL_YaleSPH releases breakthrough report on Russia adopting kids taken from Ukraine, HRL’s Sudan team confirms shelling at ZamZam IDP camp. We have been warning for weeks that ZZ could be attacked anytime, and now it has been. These people need to be protected asap.
Watch live today at 10 AM 🇺🇸 / 5 PM 🇺🇦 the @UN Security Council meeting on “Maintaining Peace and Security in Ukraine,” convened in response to the release of the @HRL_YaleSPH report on 🇷🇺’s program of the coerced adoption of 🇺🇦’s children.

REPORT: Russia engaged in systematic, intentional, widespread coerced adoption and fostering of children from Ukraine. HRL identifies 314 children placed with Russian citizens or in institutions where they were later listed for adoption and/or guardianship https://t.co/dE2AKps7W0
The emerging reports that RSF soldiers poisoned hundreds of Sudanese in the village of Alhilaliya shock the conscience. To poison food in a country already suffering from famine is an especially heinous act. If confirmed, General Hemedti & all of the RSF leadership need to answer for this. Emergency supplies & aid need to get to Alhilaliya right away.
🚨SITREP🚨 The fall of El-Fasher to RSF may occur at any time. RSF is encircling 3 targets: SAF Airbase, SAF Headquarters & B-26 route out of El-Fasher.
The Zamzam IDP population is growing as the camp prepares for potential RSF attack.

CNN making people harmed by the two devastating hurricanes subscribe to their website to learn more about applying for FEMA aid is not a good look @TedTurnerIII. Please reconsider.
#WorldHumanitarianDay, a day to recognise #aid workers harmed while helping people in crisis. Today I recognise the sacrifices of #local responders in #Sudan, and call for clearer assurances for their #protection—they face many unacceptable #safety risks while delivering #relief.
