@krazyjoe Deciding that after the fact doesn't make it good writing. Snoke's entire plan and motivations should have been clear to everyone in the writing room ahead of filming a single scene in Episode 7.
@TrevorAllenMD >boost bug
>fire is now even better
>boost water types to counter it
>boost grass to counter water
>fire/water/grass now dominates
>boost dragon to counter it
…
>boost fairies
Every criticism is now “this is some snarky, pseudo-intellectual bullshit”, and every defense is “you just didn’t get it” without ever explaining what’s not gotten, which transcends the video itself to high art.
@GroovySciFi What is your point, exactly?
We call them heroes, because these men gave their life to defend the world from evil. That's what heroes do: fight evil to protect those who can't defend themselves.
Muscles and strength in both games and movies are so dumb. When someone is super strong, they can give someone a light push and send them flying. But where is that energy coming from? It has nothing to do with speed or force, it's just raw energy being generated somehow.
@DISSOLVED__GIRL I don’t remember too much from it, but I do remember thinking it was an extremely unnecessary video, and that whatever it was trying to say got drowned out by this weird obsession and nitpicking of something as stupid as James’ setup.
@J_Scott_Art@UwU_0f_borg@DiscussingFilm The humor in this video is NOTHING like that in the clip above. One is a campy and goofy villain, the other is a bumbling idiot. The problem is that we’ve seen so many of the bumbling idiot character recently, that all it does is take away from the more skeletor-like stuff
@GangofHeroes@UwU_0f_borg@DiscussingFilm This isn’t camp. This is kitsch. It’s been done to death over the last century.
A villain who laughs menacingly at his own evil would have been campy in today’s climate.
@pizza_transcend@UwU_0f_borg@DiscussingFilm You could have well-written humor instead. This is not it. This simply deflates the scene and drags out a joke that doesn’t even attempt to land.
@silver_yaknow ACTUALLY, if play games from the GB to 3DS era and stick to only battling trainers, you don't get overlevelled. In fact, you'll be underlevelled by the time you get to the E4.
