@jessesingal The title of the Myers PhD he copied was: "An analysis of the concept reflective practice and an investigation into the development of student teachers' reflective practice... " It's likely that, when copying, he tried paraphrasing the title but left the possessive apostrophe in.
@Gary7gmg@LukeTryl Yes I think that's the way forward too. If you're a current pensioner, or a pensioner up until 2030, you'll have the triple lock. From 2030 onwards pensions will be increased by CPI only. Eventually some method of means testing would be appropriate too (but again controversial).
@Theibrahimdavid@Rainmaker1973 Yes, it's just dry dock on top of another dry dock on top of another one etc. Dry docks all the way down. Like a Russian doll situation.
@5827hz @andrew_lilico In this case Lara Bird was not 'surrounded' by the Scottish accent. She was in Westminster surrounded by English people and the English accent. She switches between accents to make a political point and be 'more Scottish' when she finds it convenient.
@andrew_lilico A key difference is that your wife was going back to a place where the Caribbean accent and dialect were local, and she therefore 'code switched' to fit in with that locality. Here, Lara Bird switched to a Scottish accent when in Westminster, where the majority are English.
@JJBoy30_@KemiBadenoch@lukerobertblack Yes, but that's a health cohort and epidemiological issue, not an 'identity politics' issue.
For example 93.8% of patients who have sickle cell anaemia are black and only 1.8% are white, so the NHS prioritises black people for treatment.
@dannynolan64@JohnRentoul@InstituteGC You're absolutely right of course, but any suggestion has to be within the bounds of political reality.
The current Labour government and its backbenchers seem opposed to any form of welfare spending reduction so adjustments have to be minor and acceptable to them.
@besslilburne@tomhfh But if you've chosen to work for that employer and have agreed to a mutually binding employment contract, why should you be able to unilaterally suspend the terms of that contract, go on strike and disrupt the critical operations of your employer, and then return to work?
@opinionbriefpod@LukeTryl As a suggestion, why not: ban all phones for under 14s; allow 'dumb' phones between the ages of 14 to 16; only allow over 16s to have smartphones. On top of this, all phones will be banned from schools (where they are completely unnecessary).
@liminalcash I'm a bit confused as to what this actually means? Does this get you listed on Coinmarketcap properly? So that it appears with all the other coins, and people can add it to a portfolio tracker etc?
@christiancalgie For a second I misread that as "gay squirrel" and unfortunately, in the context of the current Labour government, it still made sense.
