On Saturday, April 24th we participated in the Drug Take Back Day that is organized by the @MontcopaDA and the Police Chiefs of Montgomery County. With that said, we are very pleased to announce that our department alone collected 51.3 POUNDS! Thank you to all who participated!

CONGRATULATIONS Anaisha Singh on winning our “what does equality look like to you” contest! You nailed it!! Anaisha was able to come to our station to be presented with a certificate of achievement and left with a bag full of goodies. Thank you to everyone who participated.
Detective Michael Nastasi was presented with a Commendation of Merit after being the lead investigator on a Drug Delivery Resulting in Death Investigation. Detective Nastasi meticulously and tirelessly investigated this case, which resulted in the arrest of the seller.
We would like to introduce and welcome the newest member of the department. Jill Sauermelch is the new Executive Assistant to the Chief of Police. Jill has a B.S. in Criminal Justice and she comes to us with many years of experience. Welcome aboard and good luck!
Junine Garnett, Age 20, is wanted by the Lower Providence Township Police Department for numerous residential burglaries throughout the area.

Congratulations to Kyle Pfister for being the first to complete our student internship program. Kyle was exposed to many different aspects of law enforcement including ride alongs with patrol officers, processing crime scenes, report writing, and much more. Good luck, Kyle!
Congratulations to Officer Pat Young, who was awarded a Commendation of Merit for the apprehension of four suspects as they attempted to steal a motor vehicle from a used car lot.

LPPD is on scene of a three car crash at the intersection of Ridge Pike and East Mount Kirk Avenue. After the crash, a driver fled the scene but was apprehended a short distance away. Expect traffic delays.
