Make sure flights are safe & legal
Fly safely and legally! Reckless drone operators put our passion for drones at risk. Follow the rules, respect others, and help keep the skies open for all of us. #FlyResponsibly#DroneSafety#UAS

Flights of drones around aerodromes are restricted under Air Navigation Order article 94A.
Recently, a user had their drone seized whilst flying without permission within the FRZ at #Man Airport and dealt with by police
Avoid airports and keep flights within the permitted areas.
@TerryHarrisPix There are already specific offences but under a different piece of legislation and plenty have been prosecuted and currently serving. This is an additional layer to support those other offences.
@cloudvisual Sadly the issue with a non UK app. Even those that are included, they do not represent the correct coordinates/shape of the FRZ and more importantly, what's set out in UK Law.
Always use UK AIP ENR 5.1
⚠️ All #UAS#UAV#drone Operators ⚠️
Please ensure you check UK airspace restrictions and not rely on manufactures inbuilt mapping software and apps.
Use official source of airspace information such as UK AIP via NATS website #Staylegal#dronesforgood

These operators contribute to the negative perception of the drone community. We are committed to distinguishing those who follow the law from those who don't. We remain dedicated to advocating for the responsible and lawful use of drones.
