🤘Behind The Scenes🤘
Dallas Tessar started 31 games last year. In 2019, he’s only started 12.
But, he’s started every game this postseason and the Heels are 7-0.
Last night in the locker room, his selflessness didn’t go unnoticed.
This is all I ever wanted to do. Help and give back to those who helped me. I loved playing the game, but there was always that thought and drive that if I make it, I could be in a position like this and give back. Awesome gesture to watch! Well played. https://t.co/UnRIjUn2le
Players: Great leaders separate themselves in the preseason. Great leaders win conditioning. Great leaders finish every rep/workout. Great leaders do it every single day even when they don’t feel like it. They lead by example & constantly prove themselves to their team & coaches!
Players: If you’re good at something, so good that you’re better than most, it creates jealousy, envy & dislike in others. Don’t let it stop you. Others’ inadequacy isn’t your fault. Be yourself & keep getting stronger. People may not always like you, but you never have to care.
Instead of running from obstacles, stare them in the face; learn about them; and embrace them. Doing hard things will teach you lessons you wouldn’t learn otherwise, and will make you stronger than you thought possible. You can do hard things.
Players: You are not entitled & no one is going to give it to you. Quit whining & stop comparing your situation to someone else’s. If you want something, go get it! Take it. Earn it. It takes hard, hard work! Compete only against yourself. Just do what it takes to make it happen.
Players: When you come around, do you bring energy or steal it? Those who bring energy: lead their team, encourage others & do what’s asked. Those who steal energy: complain, whine & put others down. Be aware that you are your habits & that your habits affect your performance.
Players: What is your why? Why are you playing? Is it something to do between other sports, just being part of a team, or is it your passion? If it’s your passion, do all you can to get better. Workouts, weight room, & learning. It’s a process you need to be working at daily.
Players: The most misused word in any sport is “practice”. Too many players think you just show up, but it should be about discomfort, challenges, failing & intensity. There’s no secret. The greatest players are in the gym the most & are on a first name basis with these 4 words.
Remember all those times you were scared to death & thought you wouldn’t make it? Well, look at you. Still here, still standing. Things are usually much worse in our minds than they actually are. Internal strength increases endurance. Whatever happens, always stand and face it.
Lots of incoming college baseball freshmen are finding out that they are going to have to raise their compete level to a whole new level. Some will embrace the challenge, others will find another line of work. The game won’t wait for you and your competition won’t care.

“We ain’t winning it unless we all do the little things.”

The Ravens would win the 🏆 the next year.
