@FlyboyJohn3@tedcruz If he has failed at everything, then that means there is no reason to hate him. If he is so bad, which I agree, then presumably he'd be a person to get stuff done.
@Joycewe52375299 @bblack217v2 @Q56Suezee@yesmam47@silvercoug@Irene905 I think the people who are hurting are mostly hurting from a shutdown economy. Of course they’re starving, they can’t go out to eat or get a job. That’s the state Governor’s fault, not the a President’s.
@JezabelMontero @ananavarro If you talked to an actual socialist, they are not fans of social democracies. To them it’s like 1% less shitty than regular capitalism. Socialism means NO private ownership of literally anything.
@JezabelMontero @ananavarro Genuine socialism implies the means of production are either in the hands of the people or the state. There, you are allowed to privately own businesses. That’s capitalism. Capitalism with a strong welfare state is a ‘social democracy’ not ‘democratic socialism’
@DdayleDave It’s still a corporation that your average worker has no say in anything about how the company runs. Genuine socialists still hate Publix for being just another capitalist corporation. And again, it’s not like the government is forcing them to do this so what’s the problem?
@Stephanie_GPN@TheOSU83@SenSanders Communism implies a nation has NO money. Those nations have money. Communism implies a nation has NO classes. Those nations have rich people and poor people. Communism implies there is no state government. They have an authoritarian government.
@Stephanie_GPN@TheOSU83@SenSanders You just listed a bunch of socialist countries. I am not a particular fan of socialism, and I don’t think it is necessarily a great thing. All of those countries have the means of production in the hands of the government, that’s state socialism and it sucks.
@Stephanie_GPN@TheOSU83@SenSanders All I was saying is that there aren’t any communist countries. You can go to a socialist country, sure, and you might have a terrible time there, I agree. But there are no legitimate and genuine communist countries
@AFoxForChrist @influx_Divine Besides, half the country in 2016 didn’t consider the election to be fair. Hillary Clinton and her supporters don’t think Trump won in a fair election. In 2020, there were protests and marches about how the election was rigged against Trump. That’s a problem with a republic
@AFoxForChrist @influx_Divine Sure, the authoritarian socialist countries don’t have fair elections, but social democratic countries like the Scandinavian countries seem to be working just fine.
@DdayleDave Also if you owned a company and wanted your employees to be partial owners, what’s the problem with that? Is that not their property and they can do with it as they please? It’s not like the government forced them to do it, as that’s state socialism which is as shitty as it gets
@spayer@ajg822 @Barb_h13 @kdrewpowers @TisdaLynn @Sloppyplop1 @tarasis@LiquidDrum@murray_nyc@realDonaldTrump@justin_hart Are you asking how population is a factor? All the Nordic countries combined have a total population of around 26 million. America has two states alone with a higher population than that, with a total population of 330 million. They are massively different places.
