What did Jesus mean? Well, to understand, you have to understand the Book of Jonah from the OT.

Another example: Jesus said he came “to fulfill the law.” What is “the law”? Read Deuteronomy!

Prophecies about Jesus were about the one who would “sit on the throne of David” forever.

Anyone who tries to separate “Judeo” from “Christianity” is someone who DENIES Christ and his Kingship.

Sorry to interrupt your pathetic crusade to separate Jesus from his Jewishness to feed your stupid and damnable ethnic pride, (which, ironically, is a perfect imitation of the sin committed by the Jews in Jesus' day,) but these are just some of the names of Christ given in scripture:

-The Consolation of Israel (Luke 2:25)
-The Holy One of Israel (Is 41:14)
-The Lion of Judah (Rev 5:5)
-Messiah (Dan 9:25)
-Root of David (Rev 22:16)
-Son of David (Matt 2:15)
-King of the Jews (Matt 2:2)

Then there is this quote from Jesus: "You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is from the Jews."

And you can't forget what the apostle Paul said:

"You, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. I can't emphasize enough how important the scriptures will be to countering the leaven of Joel Webbon and his prideful Pharisees.

Read the scripture. They're dripping with wisdom, insight, mercy, and grace like honey from a honeycomb. The more you read it, the more easily you'll be able to pick out the sinful pride and fleshly disdain of people like Webbon.

Read the Bible. Tell others to read the Bible. It will inoculate you against this nonsense.

One thing people should know is that this response is very “Fort Worth” - and I mean that as a compliment. I don’t believe Chief Garcia’s comments here are intended to deceive.

Fort Worth, culturally, has always tended to avoid extremes. There’s even a phrase to describe it - “The Fort Worth Way.”

Fort Worth is not a woke city. We’ve had (officially nonpartisan) Republican mayors for decades. The elected judges in Tarrant County are Republicans.

But it’s always been a moderate approach in politics, a problem solving approach.

So, I believe Chief Garcia here, and this kind of ownership / taking responsibility is exactly what I expected after these videos came out.

He now claims he is taking "accountability" by giving 1st Amendment refresher training to officers.

"The way that we were describing what is lawful, what is not lawful... we were wrong in the manner in which we communicated that. Certainly, we're going to take accountability for it."

These officers have already violated people's rights. They should be relieved of duty immediately.
