@GregArdan80 Yes definitely though interestingly part of that seat is what used to be Preston Ward at the Borough Council & that was held for a number of years by Labour

Results in East Surrey expected late pm

Locally expecting to see Labour’s vote slump but they had no county council seats to start with so probably weren’t expecting to win anything

The Greens had a mixed result gaining narrowly in Redhill & Merstham but losing support in Horley & no breakthrough elsewhere

For Reform the result will be disappointing they threw a lot of money to win & didn’t make the breakthrough they wanted

A big win for the LibDems not just in numbers of seats won but also vote share, far exceeding nat’l opinion polls

For the Tories humiliation in what used to be solid blue wall territory

Overall I’m expecting the LibDems to win West Surrey & be the largest party in East Surrey (just shy of a majority)

A Tory stronghold they’re in trouble in East Surrey if they lose here, Reform will do well but miss out

Current county Cllr is also Reigate’s MP, another former Tory cllr is standing as an independent

It would be a shock if the Tories lost here this is solid blue wall territory but it might just happen

The current county councillor is standing as an independent (previously was a Tory) so adds a certain wild card element to this seat
