It helps a great defense to be healthy. It also helps when you can stand teams up knowing that when they dump it in your goalie is back there to settle the puck so you can quickly clear. How many big hits and injuries did the Devils D avoid because of that? Look over the season of how relatively injury free those D cores were. I know thinking can be hard for some people who want to spin their own negative narratives. The guy is a Hall of Famer and one of the best to play the game. Get over it.
