As a founding partner, the University of Arizona has been part of the Giant Magellan Telescope’s development since 2008.
In addition to contributing to the telescope design, the University of Arizona Richard F. Caris Mirror Lab has manufactured all seven of the telescope’s massive primary mirrors — a cornerstone of the observatory’s unprecedented capabilities.
@uarizona is also building and testing prototype support and active optics systems for the mirrors, as well as the Acquisition, Guiding, and Wavefront Sensing System and the GMag AO-X instrument. #FounderFocus
A brief PSA:
You don't have to like that Arizona will take about a week to finish counting the early vote drop offs.
It is a function of statute. So next week, please think before suggesting on here it is due to incompetence or fraud.
It is neither.
We wish a fond farewell and a hearty congratulations to Sophie Dessert as she joins the Florence Copper team. They are so lucky to have you on board. #mining#womeninmining

Hamer, a close ally of @dougducey, has been a major figure in Arizona politics since taking over the Chamber in 2006.

God this detail from the Hill pool report breaks my heart — even as they were rushed from the Senate chamber by police, Senate parliamentary staff made sure to grab the boxes holding the electoral college certificates
Sharing this email I received tonight as an example of how the objections and speeches, even though they will not succeed in overturning the election, do have real impact in confusing people and continuing to damage public trust.
