Over the last 12 months, @virtuals_io has spent millions of dollars attracting and supporting builders. Ultimately they need builders in their ecosystem for it to be an attractive proposition for the audience, and for fees to be generated through token trading.

HOWEVER... They have spent close to zero on their community through 2026. This has been a strategic play whilst they build out the ecosystem.

This latest offering outlined below is a fully structured and incentivised program for builders. It actually looks pretty good, if you are a connected builder, when you dig through it.

Community however are the group that brings the liquidity. Virtuals can't keep propping up charts using their own funds and teams are reluctant to launch when charts are dying out so quickly post launch. There needs to be a steady flow of capital into the ecosystem. Through all of 2026, there's been a steady outflow as the real community members who buy and hold, and support the builders, have left.

I'd be surprised if we don't see some sort of gamified community focused scheme, at the level or greater to the builder scheme outlined below, in the very near future. It's one of the final jigsaw pieces missing and the team would have to understand this.

What it looks like, how it plays out, will they bring back jeet jail, will we have points..? Who knows! The timing will likely align with the big update coming to Virtuals. This is pending a better market prior to launch but hopefully it's in the next month or two.

Everyone i know who was big on @base is literally jumping ship to @RobinhoodCrypto it seems.

Silence from them which is pretty typical i suppose beyond one half assed tweet from @brian_armstrong

I have a lot of respect for Brian on one level, due to his efforts on legal clarity for crypto in the USA.

On the other hand i always had a suspicion that Base chain was basically something that they realized in hindsight wasnt actually good for their main business… the @coinbase app. Perhaps im wrong.

However, it would make sense that he kept it going and basically didnt do anything when he realized the people who are the face of @base are pretty incompetent. Im sure there are plenty of competent devs and some other folks, but they obviously have no say in anything.

I would also hedge a bet that theres been lots of insider extraction going on too which is unfortunate.

Anyways yeah, i started originally wondering what the fucking fuck was going on when they ignored the meteoric rise of @virtuals_io and proceeded to shill meme coins when it was clearly becoming a place for real builders. Lots of those idiotic shills and ideas (zora) sucked liquidity out of legit projects.

“Lets tokenize every post someone makes!!!” - They seriously thought this was somehow a good and valuable idea… thats when i was just like… yeah these people are 100% incompetent… cough… @jessepollak …cough.

Thats not to say there werent any good projects or innovation… its just that the people pulling the strings were retarded and the right people probably had no pull.

I expect to see much of that tech move to RH.

As for what happens with base… who knows. Like i said there could be unsaid motivations for not wanting it to do too well.

For now, the new shiny object is RH and it has the tokenized stock narrative and the possibility of ushering in the retail kids. Hopefully they dont mismanage the chain too.
