Car ownership costs are still sky-high:
And one of the biggest culprits is auto insurance.
Premiums have surged 50% over the past three years—driven partly by insurers responding to cover surging claims and repair costs, among other things.
The good news? The market appears to be stabilizing.
Some experts predict a shift to flat or even lower premium increases—
As of Q3 2024—insurance quotes dipped 0.4% from the previous quarter.
But no matter what happens next, insurance is non-negotiable for buyers.
And 13.8% of drivers shopped for insurance as of last September—a new record.
