Over 20 years ago, I published a report analysing the current state of burgh commons across Scotland. There have been modest improvements in administration but no action yet on the most straightforward reform.
Common good land belongs to the communities within Scotlands Burghs. They should have the legal right to take back title which they lost in May 1975.
Councillors in Lochgilphead should not be making decisions about land in Helensburgh. Credit to @GabyMcKay for covering this important story about town governance.

Great campaigning session for @katrinamurray71 in Stepps this afternoon. Really positive response from voters to @ScottishLabour's #NewDeal for Working People #MakeWorkPay message. It's time people were allowed to vote for change!
Ambulance workers could be the first facing the sack for taking strike action, under this Tory government’s new draconian laws.
They are leading the march to protect the #RightToStrike, just as GCHQ workers did 40 years ago under Thatcher’s government #CheltenhamDemo

I believe in the welfare state.
I'm not privately insured.
I would never vote for a party because they promised to lower the top tax rate.
I'm on the left, of course."
Love this quote from Jurgen Klopp.
