My ladies choir - The Southwest Songbirds - were sounding great this evening! Singing @Beyonce Love on Top here, alongside @Adele @DollyParton @jonimitchell @Carole_King @billieeilish raising money for @Make2ndsCount breast cancer charity. All women composers!

[Polly May @PollyMayMusic]

So proud to be part of this wonderful department! What a wonderful concert and what dedicated and talented students!

@Mirsb85 @katbrown @thetimes @marksandspencer @nextofficial @VChevis Boden only goes to 34 leg 😔

[Polly May @PollyMayMusic]

@katbrown @thetimes @marksandspencer @nextofficial @VChevis Thank you for this! I’m 6 foot 1.5 and everything you said is so right!

[Polly May @PollyMayMusic]

@lily_caines @BBAteam @pearsoncasting @BeetlejuiceBway Hooray! Tell me when you’re in it and I’ll come!

[Polly May @PollyMayMusic]

Today I left @SCHSgdst after 9 years. What a journey! I was given this beautiful cartoon by @felixbennett_ which will take pride of place in my new office @AlleynsSchool when I take up my new post as Director of Music in January.

[Polly May @PollyMayMusic]

@MasterChefUK Brilliant cheffing from the start! Well deserved!

[Polly May @PollyMayMusic]

@MichaelBerkele2 @TobyCharlesWard No! That’s awful.

[Polly May @PollyMayMusic]

@Eton_Music Looks great but no female composers and I think Chick has a K. . .

[Polly May @PollyMayMusic]

So sad. . .

[Polly May @PollyMayMusic]

Just received my Directory of Independent Senior School Music Departments from @MusicTeachers_ and see the dearth of female DoMs. I look forward to taking up the mantle as the first female DoM @AlleynsSchool in January. One of 16/200 listed. #equality #womeninmusic #femaleleaders

STOLEN INSTRUMENT
Today my beloved flute was taken. It was in a beige rucksack, stolen between Platform 3 at Farringdon and East Croydon Station, on the 9.34 train to Brighton.
Flute is a Brannen silver Millenium 5320 with a silver Lafin headjoint w/gold lip plate. Please share!

@CatherineJBott @BSOrchestra Love this post!! X

[Polly May @PollyMayMusic]

@MrAJChristie Ah Andrew! How lovely!

[Polly May @PollyMayMusic]

So excited to be preparing for this recital with Ben Costello @thamesconcerts - celebrating #madeleinedring centenary.

[Polly May @PollyMayMusic]

@kerilynnwilson, in rehearsals for Carmen @RoyalOperaHouse when @MusicSCHS girls were singing in the children’s chorus, said that female conductors should just be conductors. Sadly there’s still work to do on that. But @marinalsop - WOW! Awesome job last night! #LNotP @bbcproms

[BBC Proms @bbcproms]

Correct, we programmed the #LNotP just so @marinalsop & @sanditoksvig could catch up! ⭐

We enjoyed listening in on a conversation between friends about the traditions and celebrations of the Last Night of the Proms

Watch #LNotP on @BBCTwo, @BBCOne from 9pm or @BBCiPlayer.

@EnglandRugby please leave George Ford to kick when Farrell returns. What a match!
