📢 Early Access for Galerio 📢

The First Spatial Experience in Culture is now open for early access for Vision Pro users: https://t.co/P6G8zMbQlc

What you’re about to experience is the first chapter in a series about Vietnam's last royal dynasty, the Nguyen Dynasty. We harness the power of spatial computing with @Apple's Vision Pro to tell stories of this pivotal Dynasty, which had greatly influenced the course of history of Southeast Asian.

In Galerio’s space, antique items transform into immersive stories. Natural hand gestures allow for deeper interaction with the antiques, revealing their meanings and significance, and illuminating important aspects of the Dynasty.

Creating a good spatial app is challenging; building a spatial storytelling experience in a ubiquitously app-free web environment is even more so. With this early access, we hope you enjoy the novel experience and eagerly await your feedback to help us continuously perfect it.

Support for other devices like Quest and mobile is coming soon. Follow us for updates. ✨🚀

Do we really understand the true essence of 'Real Spatial Experience’ ?

I don't know what this guy is doing, but I think his post points out very accurately about 'spatial experience'. You guys should read through this post to know more.

Do we really understand the true essence of 'Real Spatial Experience’ ?

Spatial Experience is not merely about being physically present in a space, but about how deeply you connect with it through a blend of physical and digital elements. It's about feeling immersed in a narrative, interacting with digital content in a meaningful way, and creating sticky memories.

As Marshall McLuhan famously said, 'The medium is the message' . In the context of Spatial Experience, the space itself becomes the medium for conveying information, emotions, and stories. It's a shift from passive consumption to active participation, from linear narratives to immersive experiences.

'Spatial' can be experienced through interaction between individuals and digital information within a three-dimensional space, creating immersive experiences that blend physical and digital elements, as seen in augmented, virtual, and mixed reality applications.

'Experience' is not just passive consumption, it's about engagement, immersion, and emotional connection through storytelling. Beyond simply presenting information or digital content within a physical space, stories about art & culture help spatial experiences to harness the power of narrative to draw users in and foster a deeper sense of engagement and immersion.

With Galeiro, we believe that the future of spatial experience is not just laying in this intersection of the physical and digital, but requires seamlessly blending technology, storytelling, and novel interactions to deeply engage the human spirit.

Introduction Series - Spatial Computing 🙋‍♂️📢

We're thrilled to begin our introductory series with Spatial Computing as we eagerly anticipate Galerio's launch!

Origin

Coined by Simon Greenwold in a 2003 paper (https://t.co/8uqUuPSyPd), spatial computing allows users to interact with digital information in three-dimensional space, blending physical and digital worlds. This concept gained significant attention in 2024 with the launch of @Apple's Apple Vision Pro.

Spatial Computing

For decades, spatial computing has been popularized through AR, VR, and XR technologies. Early challenges such as motion sickness, tracking accuracy, and low display quality were common on early devices like Oculus. However, the Apple Vision Pro (and potentially, upcoming @Meta Quest 3) has addressed these issues significantly:

High-Fidelity Quality: High-resolution displays may not be as critical on portable devices like phones or laptops, but for XR devices, covering the entire field of view, high resolution is crucial to deliver a life-like and immersive experience.

Device Personal Fitting: Personalized measurements and optional prescription lenses enhance comfort and usability, reducing common issues with XR devices.

Galerio

The advanced spatial computing capabilities of Apple Vision Pro have tipped the scale, enabling the next generation of apps to offer comfortable, engaging, and immersive experiences.

Designed as a metaverse platform, Galerio aims to be the first application to leverage the full power of spatial computing of Apple Vision Pro, offering immersive and engaging experiences for users exploring cultural spaces.

🤯 legit mind blown moment. Trying out the new #AppleVisionPro beta that lets you turn almost any photo into a 3D "spatial photo".

Impossible to convey over a phone screen, but seeing moments from the past like this is just incredibly immersive / emotional.

Pretty darn cool.
