@galeforceVC As someone who both works in rewards management in start-ups and also researchs it, I would say I am not sure this adds up in the start-up environment, but maybe in a big corporate?
2021 was a headline year for Indian startups:
- $39Bn of capital deployed
- 44 new unicorns
- $14Bn in exits
- $500M in ESOP buybacks
- 1500+ deals
- ~4x growth in value, 2x in volume
- 3rd largest ecosystem in the world
Hard to repeat year

@jspujji Would be interested to hear from people who have had some good advice from their investors? What was the advice? Why was it something you couldnt see yourself?
@eduovrignorance@victor_bigfield I also have access to my own schedule, but still sometimes struggle to fully own it. I am going to give it a go! I will report back with my progress ππ
@eduovrignorance@victor_bigfield Oooooh I like this. Do you have to actively control when you go to sleep? Eg is the bodys natural wake up urge based upon how many hours you have slept or can it naturally wake you at a certain time regardless of amount of sleep? (obviously not advising low amounts of sleep lol!)
This is some pretty cool data - its interesting to see that in the early stages founders will definitely be paid less than their employees! I suppose this makes sense from a risk-reward perspective given the balance on equity ownership at these early stages
How much do founders pay themselves?
@seedcamp has FINALLY gathered us all some data π
Find out how much your peers are paying themselves here...

@justinkan Or said differently, you do not make money investing if you are not willing to take some risk. If your money is scared, and doesnt take risk, it wont make money.
What a morning for the team at Pomelo listening in to @fdestin and @franco1s discussing fundraising strategies! Definitely check out the @FundraisingBC
@cjaythecreator I have the academic reference for this - if I remember correctly this is using public census data, taking every company formed and then seeing when they are shut - this catches lots of shells, or firms that never really tried anything, so the figure is high
