Pompeius Magnus

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@HannibalUMBC Hard to be badass with your war elephants when they die in the crossing genius.

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@BoudiccaofIceni Sure I'll do that and you can have your breasts cut off and sewn in your mouth. What can't take what you dish out #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@BoudiccaofIceni I was just saying stooping to that level kind of kills your moral high ground for the uprising #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@BoudiccaofIceni We obviously could take it since we won #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@AlexMegistos I could use a new alliance after Caesar's treachery

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@IuliusCeasar I needed to gather an army. You fled Rome when Sulla came #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@AlexMegistos I can relate to that. Sulla doesn't want me having a triumph as a privatus. I still have legions. I win #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@BoudiccaofIceni Wow avenging the rape of your daughters by sexually torturing innocents. Way to show Rome how inhumane they are #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@BoudiccaofIceni Already dead

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@AlexMegistos No politicians hated me at first but I was too popular to refuse. I more than earned that name in later campaigns #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@BoudiccaofIceni You did indeed cause an impressive amount of trouble for a while. It's a pity history only remembers the winners #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@ZenJuliaAurelia Pay my way in? My constant victories forced the Senate to grant me unprecedented honors. I earned my name #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@BoudiccaofIceni This is hardly unique to you, just one more example of pointless resisting #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@BoudiccaofIceni So what's the story here. Uprising in a province works at first but can't hold up against Rome in the long run #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@BoudiccaofIceni @HerrArminius I don't need to make excuses to you, you lost #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@HerrArminius Whatever you say

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@HerrArminius No we didn't because the empire was big enough. I hope you enjoyed the freedom of being killed by tribal infighting #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@HerrArminius But again Germania wasn't worth that effort. Client kings and waiting for your own men to kill you was all we needed #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@HerrArminius We're Rome, losing battles, learning what went wrong, and changing strategy with a new army is what we do #ANCS350

[Pompeius Magnus @PompeiusMagnus1]

@HerrArminius The only reason Germania wasn't conquered was that such a rural backwater wasn't worth the continued effort #ANCS350
