We have too much evidence that just "getting into the Word" doesn't produce Christ-like character.
Is the problem the Bible? No!
It's the lack of up-close discipleship, around the table, to the ways of Jesus on the streets.
The EARLY CHURCH worshipped around tables filled with food, not in pews filled with prudes or pulpits filled with dudes.
Hospitality, not hate, drew people to Jesus.
The most sacred piece of furniture in your life is your kitchen table.

@GenZPastor Food for thought. Is it the graduate school’s responsibility or the student’s to recognize burnout and make adaptations? (Or both?) Schools need to uphold a level of rigor which means there may need to be gaps between programs rather than forcing a sprint through each program.
What if at the end of history, the question God asks us is not whether we abstained from sin.
What if the question is “Did you enter into the joy that was available to you?”
