@amphibifren@bronzeagemantis Not sure how to eliminate this issue w/ LLMs when dealing w/ certain subjects. Likely why without large context provided by users they’ll give these shallow interpretations.
Context provided also means they weren’t “trained on it” so they’ll still be limited in “understanding”
@amphibifren@bronzeagemantis A big part of it is also how LLMs are trained and work. For example their training might likely includes various Reddit threads that have mentioned BAP and articles by hostile writers.
Plus with browser tools they’ll scan for articles and inject that context when you mention BAP
@loudest12man@captive_dreamer yeah not anymore. I mean he was before he went the Elite Theory obsession route. At least I thought he was as I'm pretty sure he did stuff with the Mises Institute
@ploughmansfolly I’m not an expert, but I also think robotics got a ways to go, and AI a big way to go before we have robotics that represents AGI.
LLM can’t continually learn and the data for robotics is too lossy too overcome. Maybe they prove me wrong. I doubt it.
@ploughmansfolly agree w/ your sentiment but its a mix of techspeak exaggeration and retardation.
LLMs definitely speed up prototyping and delivery in the dev world. That said other aspects of that world are slow and that isn’t changing soon. More to being a dev than coding
@captive_dreamer It’s kind of an interesting thing for some useless psychologist to research.
Why did some rw libertarians read elite theory (Academic Agent) and actually I just realized the answer before giving the rest of the question, they’re resentful idiots.
@captive_dreamer Yea a bit surprised by this take from Solionath, unfortunately haven’t seen any posts from him in while, seems like algo is burying him on my tl.
That said Fishbank always came off like an obvious guy doing a bit for attention in the podcast sphere and nothing more
@FistedFoucault Here's the difference, they aren't advocating for alliance with Islam domestically. That's exactly what groypers were doing, some even argued in favor of Muslim immigration to the West for this purpose.
@Joe_For_WWB@bronzeagemantis Now that you mention it youre right but just in the same type of criticism you can levy at most movies since whatever year you want to pick. Its not the point, just in the air they breathe
I mostly remember is just Clooney using “Dapper Dan” and Goodman as the Cyclops
@bronzeagemantis I'm not applying a good or bad to any of this, but the "state" of things here may also be a natural and necessary trend for where things are going technologically.
@gran1te_mtn Unfortunately I get the feeling this movie will be goodish. I'll likely enjoy it broadly but be very annoyed about small particulars.
I do think completely transporting the story in time & place would be better, like how Apocalypse Now is Heard of Darkness
I will address the rumor head on (just the facts ma'am): Sohrab was asking around about me by real name as far back as December. That was the first I knew of anyone having my dox. He never contacted me directly about it but has since acknowledged this fact. I have ZERO evidence he laundered this info to anyone at the Guardian. But who exactly he asked/told is an open question. Further, it should be said, Sohrab denies feeding my info to the Guardian.
