@Sportsfan4233@fabiodeuxbeer Why is it unfair? I will never use the roads in your area. We all pay into the same system for the common good. By your logic every road should be a toll road, and you pay for the roads you use.
@Sportsfan4233@fabiodeuxbeer Ok, so you guys in bumfuck nowhere don’t get rubbish taken away, roads paved, access to the electrical grid, access to internet, nearby schools, hospitals. Why should I subsidise you choosing to live away from civilisation? There’s not really enough of you to make economic sense
@casadeesamitus If the democrats refused to get behind the primary winner and supported like an independent Kamala campaign? I mean it probably would tank the Dems, but that’s not because Mamdani’s political chops.
@kayteterry 99% of older movies I can just overlook it, like in Lawrence of Arabia, Alec Guinness doing his brownface, but his performance is incredible otherwise. But Mickey Rooney is just annoying, and unfunny. The stereotype is so outdated that it’s almost confusing.
@BenPennings Also being a property investor is not an “industry”. Building is, architecture is, but buying up properties and jacking up the rent is not productive. It literally locks up money in a static asset.
@brian_callaci Yeah “football” is basically whatever the most popular foot based sport is in that country. In England it’s Soccer, in America it’s Gridiron and here in Australia it’s Rubgy/AFL.
@ehyeahwhatever@axaxaxasfml@JimJarmuschHair Yeah, basically when all is said and done, will Scorsese be considered one of the important cinematic voices of the 20th/21st century? Almost certainly. Hitchcock, Kurosawa, Hawks, these directors all made broad crowd pleasers. Doesn’t mean they didn’t leave an important mark.
